About Me
I'm originally from D.C. but also grew up partly on the West Coast in Santa Barbara. I live in Pacific Grove where I work as a writer and editor.
I spent about a year's worth of time living and working in Russia (Moscow and Vladivostok) over a 4-year period. My older sister lives in Paris; a cousin in LA is hairdresser to the stars; three cousins on my mom's side are Japanese.
I enjoy spending time outdoors. I love swimming in the freezing ocean just a bit more than warm waters. I'm an animal lover. I used to have a house rabbit, Peter, who lived for about 5 years. I run about 10 miles a week and enjoy bicycling along the coast watching southern sea otters, sea lions and dolphins.

First Date
An activity like brunch allows time to talk and get to know each other. Same goes for museums and art galleries. Live music or theater is probably best left for a second date, though it's generally my first choice activity. And anything involving the water is good.
