About Me
Let me just say first, that I haven't posted a picture because of my job. I'm happy to provide pics if you ask. I work with mostly all men and, in the interest of keeping my personal life private while I'm working, have eliminated the photo and identifying details.
While I stated that I'm here looking for a relationship, I'm more interested in meeting new people and dating first, with the possibility of something more developing later. Lately it's been more difficult to meet new single men, as so many people are coupled up and I find myself in the routine of work and working out and the same circle of friends.
The qualities I value and look for in other people I meet are the same qualities you'll find in me; honesty, intelligence, curiosity about the world, social responsibility, friendliness, common courtesy, humor, lack of unnecessary drama, appreciation for the good things in life and tolerance of the bad. I spend a lot of time reading and cooking, and work out just about every day. I grew up on the East Coast and tend to get along well with people who aren't originally from the Bay Area, but that is definitely not a rule. I am in love with the climate here, and spend as much time as possible outdoors.
My biggest immediate goal is to buy a house this year. And also to make more time for unscheduled time in my life.
The main thing that I look for in an ideal relationship is equality. I need to feel that both of us contribute equally to the partnership and can depend on the other. I am a worker in many ways, and want a guy who can appreciate, instead of feeling threatened by, my ability to physically take care of things myself.

First Date
A walk around a busy neighborhood with some coffee, maybe a stop off at a park, would be pretty much perfect. Enough surrounding activity to help get conversation going, without the complete distraction of something like watching a movie.
