Hmmm...where to start? I'm 51 yrs. old, and have 5 kids...2 are still living at home. I quit cooking, hoping it would run them off, but they just learned how to cook themselves! ;) I was married for 17 yrs., and I've been a widow for 17 yrs., now. I've never remarried...I can't keep a man drunk long enough to get him to the altar! ~lol~ I'm a homebody, for the most part...but I do enjoy going to the club for karaoke, a few drinks, dancing, and visiting with friends. And no, I don't sing karaoke. I tried it once, and the karaoke guy took the mic away from me, and told me to NEVER, EVER do that again! ~lol~ I'm a chunky chick, so I'm not into sports, or anything that requires a lot of effort on my part. ;) I enjoy the simple things in life. I'm kinda lazy, too...so I never get bored! ;) I like to read, "get togethers" with family and friends, curling up with a good movie, or just talking to someone over a cup of coffee. I've lived through a lot of musical eras, and I like them all...except heavy metal, hard rock, and ganster rap. I could live without t.v....but couldn't live without music! ;) I try to be as happy as possible...I don't pet the sweaty things...ummm, I mean I don't sweat the petty things! ~lol~ I firmly believe this: life is too short...if you think you've got it bad, just look around, things could always be worse! I also believe that there is something good in everyone, if you look close enough. ;) I have 2 vices...coffee and cigarettes. And I do both of those 24/7...they just go together...like peanut butter and jelly, like beans and rice. If I ever quit smoking, I'd have to stop drinking coffee, too...vice versa. See my dillemma? ;) Anyway...enough about ME! ;) There is one thing I'd like to say about YOU...if you're married, then please, avoid me like the plague! ;) Thanks! ;)
Perfect first date? Agreeing to meet at one house, or the other...first thing in the morning, still in jammies! That way, each other can see "the real deal", right off the bat! ;) It can only get better after that, right? ~lol~
O.K...seriously, now. I think that no matter what you decide to do together, there has to be a little "talk time" first. For instance, if you're gonna go dancing and you know it's gonna be noisy, then it might be a good idea to show up before the band starts, for a little quiet one on one first. ;) A good date for me would be spending an evening, doing whatever, with someone I can talk to...without a lot of awkward silences. Being with someone I feel comfortable with, someone I can laugh with. Simply put...sharing time with a person I'm compatible with, doing something together that makes us both happy...and thinking later, "Man, I really had a terrific time with that person!" ;)
