My taste in music is broad and I listen to everything except hard core country, and I love a good rock and roll show.

I am in no rush and believe in taking time to know someone before becoming serious, but I am not looking for someone who thinks that texting an e-mail are considered dating. I want to talk on the phone and get to know someone and hopefully meet sooner than later.
What is the point of e- mailing for weeks when you can't tell if you have a connection with a person unless you meet them in person.
Some people are happy just chatting via text or e-mail, this is not what I am looking for.

I have felt it neccesary to add this note Post Script because of certain comments made by people I have met here on this site. My pictures make me look older than I look in real time. The flash pictures accentuate my greyness in hair and beard. I just wanted to add that most women have been surprised how much younger I look in person (if this makes any difference to you)

The first date, or first face to face meeting should be casual and public where a fluid conversation can take place. If all goes well and the feeling is mutual, then we move on to something more like a date, date... Does that sound right?
