"Be a rainbow in somebody else's cloud." - Maya Angelou
Bwahahahahahahaha....... Sup, non-degradingly annoying and yet still unnameably cool folks?
Got your attention now? Good. Read on, if you dare...
Me in a Nutshell. Hi! I'm Sam! I'm happy. I'm an introvert. And random when necessary. My friends tell me that I'm thoughtful, imaginative, peaceful, and surprising. I'm the kind of person who will go out of their way to get to know what you like, and then touch your heart by surprising you with a meal filled with your favorite foods, music, and sights. I'm sweet, dammit. People have been telling me that since before I could talk, so I've just come to accept it; I hope you will too. Musical taste inclues P!nk, Ingrid Michaelson, Springsteen (an honorary dyke in my opinion), and...um, whatever's on my ipod. Oh and the cliks. Can't forget those. Movies are anything cute and whimsical. Preferably old ones. Give ME a conversation starter if ya'd like; I'll be happy to tool with it and save it for later :).
You: You're thoughtful. You're friendly. You're courteous, kind, and forgiving. You're between the ages of 26 and 32. You're equally random. You like cats and you're not afraid to greet them. You'd like to be in a monogamous relationship. You're equally happy with friends and lovers. You're a boi, and... You're prone to random fits of giggling-while-texting. Boohyeah.
Let Us Go Then, You and I... My goals (career and passion-wise) are to restore public space to make it accessible and respectful of everyone. I believe that everyone has a voice and we can all learn to improve our world just by listening. To that end, I've volunteered at nonprofit cafes in the Pacific Northwest and am looking for something like it here in the valley.... I'll probably just end up at Saint Mary's for starters. I'd like to do homeless outreach as a career and/or organize health presentations on all things quirky and fun for my workaday needs. Eventually, nothing would please me more than settling down with a happy little family in one of those old rambling houses in downtown Turlock. We could walk to the hotdog stand down the street together on misty summer evenings, go skinny-dipping in the rivers on hot summer nights, and make the occasional trip to lodges up in the Sierras for our spring vacations (on second thought, a cabin in the Sierras doesn't sound so bad either, lol). You would fit into this picture by being warm, kind, energetic, curious, and in love with the reality of beginning something lasting. You're preferably crafty in some way, can rock a good pair of men's jeans and harbor an exuberant nerdiness for something, anything, that I haven't heard of. A scholarly bent is an enormous plus :).
Oh, and I hope you liked the Prufrock quote. It's cheesy but it seemed to fit. I'm working at home right now while I work on health stuff.
Rule of Attraction. Bois make my heart melt. I have an instant feeling of affection for folks along the boy/butch/genderqueer/transboy spectrum; you guys are just sooo cute :). I'm looking for someone who can wear a great fedora, and whose heart will flutter as much as mine when I step out in my fabulous scarves. You need to have a high tolerance for wanderers: I daydream and talk about old places, cultures far and near, and colorful adventures more than your average boi.
Objective. I'm currently accepting applications for cuddle bunnies, teddy bears, tiggers, and sweet-but-ironic, curious-minded humanfolk. Adorable Chicoans are especially encouraged to apply. ;)
Dream a Little Dream of Me... It would be wonderful if I met someone perceptive, kind, caring, and irreverent enough to cackle at the paradoxes life throws at us. If they're looking for a life partner and co-parent/mom for their future children, then all the better :)d
You Might Need Me More Than you Think You Will Come on, let me call you love, Brainy, Brainy Brainy. Just a quote? No Fair!!!!!!!! ;;) (fly wink)
Take Me Ouuuuuut Toniiiiight! Hmm....since this is a written medium, let's get to know each other first, and customize our date based on the interests that we've gleaned from our shared interests. Let's make writing sexy again :D).
Maybe we could find a place to volunteer together.
Someday I want to drive the length of Route 66 and stop and eat at all of the diners along there, but maybe that's a little long for a first date :D.
