About Me
I am from Massachusetts. This is my second time living in NYC. I've been here about two years this time. I used to work at a really good college as a janitor even though I felt smarter than most of the people that went there. Sometimes I would see equations on the blackboards and I would figure them out and leave the answers for everyone to see the next morning. One of the professors began to mentor me and now here i am. Oh, and my best friend is Ben Affleck.
Interesting Fact #1- I once wanted a job that I was too young for so I bought a vintage briefcase off eBay to make me look older. I filled it with socks and went to the interview. I still work there now!
Interesting Fact #2 - I was held back twice, almost a third time, before dropping out of high school. But, now hold a doctorate and started a master's degree.
I have 82,353 more interesting facts about myself but i am saving them for later. For now, I will just start to ramble:
I think I am pretty smart, not bad looking and a nice person. I am often sarcastic but in a fun way not in a mean way. I think I'm funny. I laugh at my own jokes! I'm told that I am very confident and ambitious. I volunteer mentoring HS students once a week. I am very creative but my work is mostly analytical so i tend to use my creativeness to cause trouble. I can't sing at all but will do karaoke If the peer pressure is great enough or drank enough to fall to lesser peer pressure. I have a wide variety of interests. On one hand I like motorcycles and dirt bikes, on the other hand I like antiques and art. I recently got back into working out and really like it. I like to get out and do things. This might sound weird, but I enjoy exploring different neighborhoods on foot. I think it's a fun way to find new stores and places to eat while also checking out the architecture and whatever else that can be discovered. As far as dress, I wear suits for work(except on Fri) but am told that I am quasi-hipster/lower east side outside of work, but mostly jeans and a t-shirt. Occasionally I dress preppy too. It all depends how I feel or where I'm going. I am often accused of being metro because I care about clothes, style and am interested in antiques and art, etc. I think it's funny and am used to it. One unusual fact about me is that I don't have cable TV. I Haven't had it in over ten years. It's not that I don't like TV, it's that I like it too much. And there is just so much else to do and I see it as a time waster. Wish I could have select programming access because I do like the National Geographic, Discovery and History channels. So without TV, I watch a lot of movies or tv shows like The Office on DVD. I watch the same stupid ones over and over. Some of the dumb comedy movies I enjoy are: The Jerk, Step Brothers, Napoleon Dynamite! Superbad, Pineapple Express, Hangover, Dumb and Dumber, Waiting, Big Lebowski, Anchorman and Airplane. Favorite regular movies are Shawshank Redemption, Wizzard of Oz, Casablanca, Gone With the Wind and all of the many mobster movies. Occasionally I am really quiet, but sometimes I am really loud and obnoxious. People seem disappointed when i'm quiet. Hey can't I just be tired and chill sometimes?I don't drink all that frequently but when I do, I'm usually the entertainer of the group. People trust me. They tell me everything because they know I won't tell anyone. Sometimes I just cant believe that people would tell me the sh*t they tell me. I tend to stand up for what's right. Often stick up for people even when it's none of my business. I hang out with all sorts of people. I can pretty much fit in anywhere. I have had only a few relationships and they were long term. While in them, I thought being single and dating would be really fun. However, I have realized that a solid relationship suits me better. Please don't tell any of my guy friends that I admitted that fact. JK. I'm Pretty honest. Often too honest, but I like when people are honest with me so I usually just tell it like it is.
About you? It is important that you are nice and HAPPY. I like girls that smile a lot. I don't think I can hang with someone that doesn't have a good sense of humor. If you find humor in the dumbest of things, that would be great. Not really into a super high maintenance girl but also not into a non maintenance girl either. Looks are important but as I get older intelligence has become more critical. I prefer someone that is educated but entrepreneurial skills in the absence of education will do as well. If you are a bit of a nerd that''s ok, I often think that is hot. If you like to exercise and eat healthy most of the time that is a plus. You should like to get out and explore as well as hanging back for couch spooning and a movie. Finally, I don't like to fight. I fight all day at work and the last thing I want to do after work or on the weekend is fight. It takes up too much energy and we should be having fun together. Most problems can be solved simply by discussing them. Can you discuss things rather than scream and fight? Please assess yourself and see if that is realistic for you before responding. I hope that doesn't sound harsh. I promise to be kind and will treat you with respect, all I ask is the same in return..
