"The depth of a soul is not measured by what appears on the surface, but what lies in the heart." That quote is a personal mantra that I try to live by. I have been through some trials this past year and I have learned alot about myself. I have learned that I am fiercely independant, and I am quite resourceful.
I have a friend that calls me a fun-hater; but that's because I am the sensible one and she is the free-spirit.But i do tend to surprise my friends with my own misbehavior. Sometimes i am a little forward; especially with my friends. But i can also be a little shy and not so easy to get to know. But if a person is willing to take his time; i don't think he will be disappointed. So it goes without saying that I have a strong will, and a defined set of standards. She also once told me that I am like a lobster..Pretty hard on the outside but once someone finally breaks through my tough exterior, I am quite sweet inside. Most importantly i have 3 children oldest son, 24, works on getting a job, daughter, 21, going back to school soon to be a doctor; and works at a nursing home;youngest son, 18, one more year of high school and then to the Marines.
The hobbies I enjoy involve working with my hands... I like to do flower arrangements for weddings, making cards, bookmarks, trinket boxes, etc. I also love to write children stories.
I like all kinds of music. Country is my favorite, older rock, blues, jazz, classical piano makes me calm, and big band--love it.
If the weather would cooperate, I would love to go the lake for swimming, picnic or bbq, a walk in the woods, or watch the wildlife.
With uncooperative weather, it looks like dinner and a movie...
most importantly alot of talking to get to know each other.
