...so, I'm real and open to the right man.
Creative Entangler-Renaissance Faire Hairbraider Hairdresser, Artist of multiple mediums, Belly Dancer, belonging to reenactment societies and charities. I try in all times and places to walk with Balance and Light.
I have been through some turmoil, haven’t we all. I look at life and turmoil as blessings and knowledge. I am affectionate. I enjoy feeling sexy and pleasing but have a very practical and professional side as well. I have not left the corporate world yet. I love what I do and am Happy. I can be very effected by a well written letter, a light cologne, a thoughtful gesture, like a trip to a museum for example. I am real, flesh, bone and brain. I am a lady but that might not mean what you think it does.
The first things people notice about me:
I appear younger than I am and seem wiser than my actual years. I have been told more than once that my eyes glow green.
Music: That's a big one. It can go from Classical to progressive to Hard rock with world music thrown in. Add funk, the tiniest bit of old country and techno along with what belly dance is embracing now and you have a corner or my big strange music taste. It has to be pleasing to the ear and complex for the players most of the time. I grew up singing gospel hymns and classical pieces. I Love: The Who, YES, Old Genesis, UK, Todd Rundgren, Cab Calloway, Incubus, The Bravery and know just about every lyric to all the old rock classics but am listening to and loving the new things that are coming out right now. There's so much that interests me. I might be that woman at the traffic light singing and dancing in her car.
Faith: Interesting-growing up under Baptist Rule, later I became a Lutheran and then a Catholic. I feel I’m on a spiritual journey I study everything and learn. My Pagan friends call me “a thinking Christian”. There are those people who call themselves Christian that would judge and use their “faith" as a means to an end, I separate myself from them.
Children: I have some very special younger people in my life. I tend to be considered a very good influence by both the adults and their children. I'm an Auntie and I love it. So if you have children that's ok by me. At this stage having my own children by birth? Don't think so.
Favorite books: The discovery of King Arthur, Non-fiction. How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci. Anything by Jane Austin, Neil Gaiman or Clive Cussler
Classic books, art history books. You can tell so much by someone’s library. Little titles pop at you.
TV: Firefly discs, Castle, Warehouse 13, (streamed). I don't watch much television.
Movies: The red Violin, Excalibur, Emma, Love actually, Horacio Hornblower, Stardust, Limitless, The Holiday, August Rush, old RKO classics, Movies with Gene Kelly, movies about music. Period films, yes I'm a Romantic. The Matrix, Bloodsport the list goes on.
Some things you should know: Sadly I'm allergic to dogs. It's not an aversion.
Grandma was 10 years older than Grandpa so that's not a big thing in my book if we are of like mind.
About me not giving my name and number right away (I do give out my email address). Would you want your female friend or family member putting her information online without reserve? A couple of emails spilled either direction is not enough to know. Cheers for your patience and chivalry. (It can be scary out there guys please don't take it personal). (I have found this to be good policy.
I have a tendency to appreciate a fine articulate voice with a deepness to it.
Observation: It seems people keep saying that others have just dropped off in communication.
Is it possible that communications don't always get through? I've dealt with enough technology to believe it's possible. If you like someone try once again.
Food: Pomegranate, Nuts & Berries, The food at Rosine's in Monterey, my sisters cooking. I'm learning to appreciate and cook with a love of food and layering tastes so they rise one by one gently on the palate.
Some favorite things: My friends, they are the best. Music, it drives me. Pomegranates They are so beautiful. Snapdragons, you can play with them. a great conversation. John Harrison's Seaclock.
…and with all these interests I still find the time to spend with the people that matter.
I'm seeking an equal, affectionate, and even minded partner to share his time with me, who can keep up with conversation and humor -an interest in music and wishes to share his music and interests as well as mine. I have many. I appreciate a gentle side to a man. One that knows kindness and honesty and lives within these. There has to be a shared attraction and you have to be a gentleman as well as have some seriously good chemistry. My partner will have an interest in me as I will him when I meet him and get to know him.
...so to start please tell me about you.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Rather than a first date, how about a lovely date: A walk along the beach just as the sun is going down and that piercing aqua glow shines through the waves. Later to read to each other a favorite book or passage to share while sipping a nice wine and nibbling on bread and cheese. Sharing thoughts wrapped in each others arms in the warm glow of incandescent light or the light of fire.
