Recently Updated - Retired but still mentor and tutor with a possibility of relocating to Colorado late fall/early spring in the back of my mind...........unless I can find my new best friend here in the desert.
Pet free for the first time in forever, lost my buddy Murphy after 15 years!
Love sports and originally from the mid west, I love Notre Dame football(the Nuns made me), the Bears, Bulls, and White Sox. Also like the local AZ teams.
OK, is it just me, or is this harder than it needs to be? At this point in our lives most of us have all the "stuff" we need, so I'm not looking for stuff.
I have one (1) item on my bucket list that I want to take care of so that I can start a "new" bucket list to share with someone special.
1. BE DONE WITH THIS WEB SITE!
Additionally, and I guess this is important. I am fairly conservative, but will listen to others views. If you claim to be "middle of the road" please be middle of the road and not a closet liberal whose mind is closed to other points of view. At least be honest about it
I am at a good place in my life, retired, not 6'4", not wealthy by any means, but comfortable. When I came back on this site after being off for quite a while due to work, it didn't update my age which is 63. And, as my headline says, I'm just a regular guy, now looking for a much simpler life. After I retired, I tossed most my "good" clothes. I live in tee shirts and shorts or jeans. Do have a winter and summer sport coat for the right occasion, but that's usually once a year at graduation. I can clean up when necessary.
I've already traveled the world but missed most of the national parks in this country and would love to visit them. That said, I still want to travel to Italy and Ireland, missed those on previous travels.
Loved teaching but no problem walking away. Ready to share my life with someone special. I miss holding hands, and walking arm in arm. Watching movies or listening to music is always better shared. So, if this sounds interesting, drop me a line.
I was a teacher and principal at a school of last resort for most of the student population. I am proud of what I accomplished there.
I spent many years in the military which, combined with a good mid west family backround and Catholic School education, helps to keep me sane in this seemingly insane world in which we live in today.
I like to hike, but never seem to find the time anymore though I do ride my bike several times a week. I love the night sky and spend as much time as I can in Flagstaff with my telescope. Reading is a passion for me, and I read just about anything, of course as a history teacher, lots of history.
I miss holding hands, and the companionship we all need.
Coffee and breakfast, iced tea and lunch, wine and dinner; anywhere that a relaxing conversation can take place.
