My goals/dreams in no specific order: find someone that loves small/medium sized dogs as much as I do and considers animals part of the family; own a second home or property for investment purposes; find balance between work and play so that I travel and take vacations throughout my life instead of waiting until retirement as many people do; Within a relationship I would like to explore New Orleans, Jamaica, Miami, New York, and Amsterdam.
I think music is an integral part of a relationship and that you should have some like artists in kind but that you don't have to love everything the other person does. I enjoy a mix of hip hop and country, sometimes blues, listen to pop on the radio or my ipod in the car. I'm open to new artists and usually find them at a music in the park type venue or small local club.
My mother passed away and I inherited her two Bichon Frises to go with my own rescued Bichon so on weekends I like to try and take them to the dog park or the beach in Carmel when I'm in town. Do you want to walk one of them with me?
I enjoyed reading this great series - the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy. I also listen to audiobooks like Sherlock Holmes, Poirot and other mysteries. On the weekend I love a late Sunday brunch after sleeping in and lounging next to someone while reading a novel for a perfect date.
I love the energy and fun of dancing but don't go to clubs often (usually only when I'm hosting a Girls Night Out party to see a band). I think having someone you can dance with is the key to a good relationship. Dance lessons would be a fun thing to do together. Dancing ties back to having some music artists in common. I can't dance to rock and roll but I try. :)

First Date
I think a first date should be more of a quick meet and greet. A lot of people are nervous or shy (myself included) and it's best to get this out of the way so you can see if there is chemistry, easy conversation and a mutual interest to move on to a first date. I like a public venue like meeting for Happy Hour after work, or at a coffee shop or even a Jamba Juice date.
