Thanks for coming by. Stick around a bit and say hello. Sure, let's meet for a cup of tea or a coffee, or..
Would you like to share some outdoor time? Most anything you can come up with. Walking, running, biking, tennis (for me it's the volley, not the competition) beach trekking or any hike you like, let's go.
To enjoy it all, I eat pretty healthy and stay fit. Rarely will you find me in front of the tv. True, I'm not much into the bar scene but I'd be happy to enjoy a glass or two of wine with you.
Music is key and I enjoy many flavors and play a bit of guitar and piano. I'm ready to learn the salsa, just need a hot pepper.
Lately been listening to the likes of TJ Rehmi - "You Are We Am I": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcmITEGxei4/ Bodhi - "Odessa I", Prem Joshua, Maneesh De Moor, Cheb I Sabbah and Suzanne Teng - "Miles Beyond": http://magnatune.com/artists/albums/teng-miles/ Always finding new works that level me..
Does the kitchen freak you out? Not me. I think it's a great place to have some fun. Cooking's a fine meditation and done together, it's a dance.
Traveling has always been a #1 passion. The different cultures happily remind me that this ain't the norm. Studied Japanese language and arts in college for a different take.
I love the art world, all of it. Could not imagine where we would be without the creative. For a while now, I've chased the light to capture images with a camera. Included a few pics above.
I like to grow things, a variety of tomatoes, New Mexican Big Jim peppers (chile relleno ha!), herbs, AVOCADOS and tropical bamboo etc. What's better than having your own vegetables on the table? Ok, we know the answer to that.
How do you feel about sharing in the beauty of this world? Would you rather be in the mall or out in nature? Deep woods, desert blooms and screaming city lights, will you have some?
Go for a sail? On the water... as a licensed boat captain for many years, I might check behind your ears for green but it wouldn't scuttle a connection, especially if you're sweet (as opposed to sour).
So it's been said that all you need to know in life can be found in "The Godfather". And I used to believe there was truth in that. Of course at the time I didn't know the "Tao Te Ching" from Cheech and Chong.
I lean toward the eastern teachings and practices, Buddhism, Taoism, consciousness etc. but without any affiliation to religion. I agree whole heartedly that it's the ego that trips up the world.
Enjoy reading Thich Nhat Hanh, Don Miguel Ruiz, Lao Tsu, Pema Chodron and have read about all of Eckhart Tolle's work. Of course I like Hemingway as much as the next guy. How do you feel about reading aloud in bed?
Now here's a deal-breaker for some.. I have to emphasize it when I say I'm into traveling and other cultures. Sure a base is fine here in the states but down the line I'd like to spend a fair amount of time outside of the country. Where? Well that's another part of the fun. You tell me.. I'm sure we'll come up with something.
Now all of this may sound like I know what I want but I don't. It may sound like I know who I am but I'm only just uncovering that. This is not a problem for me, it's a freedom.
So come on, share some of that good energy.. let's play!
