A few things I value most in others are kindness, thoughtfulness, optimism and a great sense of humor - and I try to emulate these qualities as well. I consider myself to be personable, unpretentious, open minded and easy going. I would add that while I’m very driven, I also firmly believe there needs to be balance in life—including hard work and plenty of time to play. I’d rather have lots of adventures than own lots of things.
My interests are diverse. I’m equally comfortable attending the ballet or hanging out at a dive bar. Museums and art galleries are always fun. I enjoy engaging conversations, socializing with friends, wine tasting and trying new restaurants. And I also like seeing live bands, especially at small venues. My musical tastes vary from classical, jazz and blues to punk, classic rock and reggae. Some music currently playing on my iPod includes The Killers, Ray Charles, The Dandy Warhols, U2, Afro Cuban All Stars, The Clash, Pink Martini, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Teen Age Fanclub, and my all time favorite, David Bowie. I love to travel to new places, meet new people and experience different cultures. A few of my favorite trips have been to Paris, New Zealand and Egypt.
Staying active is also important to me. I enjoy hiking, going to the gym (really), riding my bike, rock climbing, yoga, salsa dancing and almost any water sport. Most recently I've started wakeboarding and I am totally hooked...I love it!
Eventually I'd like to be in a relationship but I realize it takes time. You need to be friends first, get to know each other and see where it may lead. At the moment I am looking to spend quality time with someone that I connect with...on all levels...intellectually, emotionally and physically. I believe a good relationship consists of mutual respect, common values, shared interests, and honest communication. Sharing life’s experiences with someone special makes the journey so much more rewarding. In the end, it’s all about how you can come together to complement each other.
