About Me
Thank you for stopping by. A little about me...... I now live in the Niagara area. I came here from Toronto six years ago. An ex-Brit. I am a retired ex-professional Technical and Travel Writer with an engineering background.....comfortably settled in the Niagara area and thoroughly enjoying it. Very active... lots of energy and have not lost the thirst for adventure. Still passionate about life....I want to find someone who can still recall the spirit of being a child again when the time is right.... giggle, run through fountains and jump in puddles once in a while. ...... snuggles and cuddles of course are a given...... but always ready to be serious when the situation calls for it. Life is too short for game playing or hidden agendas. All the old baggage was dumped many years ago.
I try to be open minded, attentive and am looking for a loving, lasting, drama-free relationship with that give and take so necessary when you are with the right person. Looking for that special lady to laugh, learn, gain new experiences with, or share old habits. Honesty and mutual respect are an essential.
One of the great joys in my life is seeing my partner happy and relaxed enough to be completely herself when we are together. Hopefully she will feel the same...... we all need that. Maybe we can start as friends and hopefully find that certain spark that says this is too good to lose. If the chemistry is not there, we may have enjoyed a glass of wine or a coffee and possibly found a new friend. Let’s take it nice and easy. ... relax and as they say, “Don’t sweat the petty stuff”. But also “Don’t pet the sweaty stuff”. Lol..
Now that I am not in the management rat race, I am using some of the time to explore the byways and hideaways of the area and find places to enjoy a bite to eat and maybe a glass of wine once in a while. Also like to explore the highways and byways of the mind. At times, love just curling up on the couch to watch a movie at home with that special someone. The Niagara wine country is great, but I still often get up to Toronto to visit friends.
I moved here from Etobicoke to be near my two Daughters, my Grandkids and a Grandog who are the biggest joys in my life. Very much into the history of the area.... and anything to do with the war of 1812. Pastimes include photography, writing, anything to do with the wonders of the universe, travel... especially to warm places, including Disneyland, messing about with home projects etc.
In short, I would like to meet someone, first as a friend who is willing to share who she is ........
I will do the same, and hopefully this may develop into a deeper meaningful one-on-one relationship.
