Life is like a roller coaster. It's fun to ride by yourself but there is a reason they have two seats.
I enjoy going to the gym, hiking, whitewater rafting, sneaking off to yard sales every now and then, watching TV, playing on the computer, movies and drives in the mountains. Of course I like the beach but who doesn't ?
My long term goals and aspirations within this forum are really simple. I want to find or be found by that special woman to share the rest of my life with. I don't think that's much to ask for. :)
In my adult life I have had three long term relationships so I have not dated much. My youngest is off to college this year and now it is time to "get back out there". That is so much easier said than done. I don't go to bars and meeting women in public places is something I find awkward (I guess I lack the skill set for turning a conversation about the price of fruit to a meaningful relationship :) So now I find myself here and am very excited to see how many fun people there are online.
My taste in music is mostly rock. I have XM radio on my car and buttons 2 through 5 are set to the decades stations 60's through 90's. Button 1 is set to love songs ( please don't tell my friends :)
I was reading an article from an online dating insider. A guy who used to work at Match and founder and CEO of another site. In the article he says "Men and women experience online dating very differently – think hunter-gatherer. Men typically send out hundreds of quickly written emails hoping someone will respond. Women can receive hundreds of emails a week, but respond to less than 2 percent. " This might be tougher than I thought. :)
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I think the first meeting should be in a relaxed atmosphere where we can just talk and get to know each other. Then if things go well we can plan our first date.
