About Me
I'm a grad student working on my masters in clinical psychology, so truthfully, I'm more comfortable asking the questions rather than discussing myself, but given the circumstances, I suppose I don't have much choice in the matter.
I'm a single mother. My son is going to be 6 this year. He's got a lot of personality. He's a gamer kid already much to my dismay, but he loves darkwing duck and scooby doo, so I can forgive him for being obsessed with Gran Turismo. He also has a higher vocabulary than most of the county residents around here. In fact, he once told me to stop antagonizing him over learning his abc's.
I work full time. I also, as mentioned, attend grad school. That keeps me busy, but apparently not quite busy enough as I'm writing a book, occasionally write some freelance stuff, have 2 blogs, make duct tape wallets, and have a vegetable garden.
I also have a 3 dogs (including a great dane!) and a cat.
Underneath all this responsibility and maturity, I'd really like to own a bar open only on the weekends and spend my weekdays working on books. That's the "big" dream... The realistic dream is finishing grad school, getting my doctorate and eventually working with offenders. Long story.
I am non-religious. I defy political labels, but I feel very strongly on several current issues. I have a major political crush on Gary Johnson. I am embarrassed by American culture. I have 12 tattoos and counting. Every single one has a story. I've never gotten something just because it looks cool. I've heard every joke possible about the name of the town I live in...meaning, don't try to impress me with your stunning wit using a "climax" joke. Yes, that's really the name of the town. I can't tolerate narrow mindedness. I don't like south park. I do enjoy making lists. I'm in love with the character Rob Gordon from High Fidelity and no man will every measure up to his perfect mediocrity. My top 5 favorite bands of the moment are: baroness, the black keys, the dead weather, stone rider, and orange goblin. My top 5 favorite bands of all time are: the allman bros, janis joplin, baroness, the black keys, and stp. I don't like cover bands (typically), but i love cover songs. I have a wide ranging taste in music although a lot of people wouldn't agree with that statement. Those people don't know anything about music...unfortunate for them, isn't it? Some others I like include: Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, Honkeyfinger, Whitey Morgan & the 78s, Truckfighters, Earthride, Kylesa, Black Tusk, Buddy Guy, The Dead Weather, The Kills, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Derek & The Dominos, and more...
I guess that's me in a nutshell. I don't believe in relationships, btw. They don't work, so I don't force it. So, if you made it this far, just know, as it states elsewhere on this profile, I don't get involved in anything serious.

First Date
Having ideals is what screws people up. The best first date I ever had included a 6 pack of beer and a 3 hour nonstop conversation on my couch. Another top 5 was a traded movie list and a piece of truck stop pie. It's all about the chemistry of the person you're with not about how much money they're willing to drop on you.
