Hey hi : )
Here's the short-attn span version first: I'm petite, feminine, embracing, educated, independent, fairly well traveled, innovative, mischievous, surprisingly funny (at least I'm surprised), spontaneous, compassionate, comprehensive, ultra-physical, always fit and never bored with life. However, I am still healing from injuries that are not so apparent, yet, no snow boarding, dirt bikes nor scuba just yet (more in 2014). I have just relocated this Summer (LB - Ocean Blvd) and I love it. It's beautiful here - I can see the Queen Mary from every room, the Long Beach boardwalk & my elevator leads to the sand - I'm interested in meeting people in this area.
Though pausing to mend now, I've left the country 30xs since 2001. Whether it's watching live concerts at the Sydney opera house or the Athens Acropolis; eating eggplant pizza at sunset in Rome while walking thru ruins... or dinning at the Magic Castle in L.A. after making friends to be invited. From picnicking on boulders in Central Park or resting on a blanket near Stonehenge watching clouds cartoon themselves into shapes overhead or portions of a 15K tour around US on an R1 for Kids Charity... it is all so easily 'doable' more than people seem to know - and it is now a way of life to keep seeking new intrigue virtually daily - especially within the mundane. It could be motorcycling through an alley way in Surrey (UK) with a friend - and catch an unexpected glimpse of 1000 A.D. Abbey ruins next to a creek that we'll eventually pick wild flowers and skip stones into... or just saying 'yes' when sailing buddies call to fly to Tortola just to cruise thru BVI with them while scuba diving some of Jacques Cousteau's favorite spots... ("Bronco Billy's" is now one of mine). Yet, the beauty of "mending" currently (not traveling) is now noticing how "much" there is to do right here. SoCal is amazing. This area requires 'no passport' nor TSA scans - and very little effort. From instant picnics on a beach blanket, quick hikes on craggy cliffs with scenic view, soft sand/ocean tides hitting your feet, stunning views off a pier anywhere... to auspicious sunsets, intriguing museums, gardens, sports arenas, concert/theatre and cool cafes (sushi, sushi, sushi, and maybe tea, breakfast etc.) I like it all. I usually see 20+ events a year and enjoy movies/DVD and Comedy Central etc - yet, I don't have actual TV for almost two decades.
Glad to be now more coastal. However, Riverside has been rewarding (while being close at hand for my nieces for a decade) this area also provided an abundance of single-parent kids who would seek me out - and teach me much. Thus, I've had the rare pleasure of enjoying supporting some 20+ neighborhood kids who seem to have traveled in/out of my house in search of everything from learning to read, math, music and how to eat over a plate - to drawing, holiday fun activities, nature field trips, theatre exposure, gardening, dealing with bullies, community beautification and more. Experiences that helped me realize, there is no greater gift to myself, than the honor of being of service to others.
A more generic dossier below on me
I'm Southern Californian since 90s. Blessed with a petite frame (92lbs), enjoy world travel (ruins, architecture, hiking, scuba, sailing etc.), a huge fan of cultures, natural monuments, history, bridges, museums, tasting world foods, art exhibitions and more. I’ve traveled internationally & also all 50 States. I enjoy everything to green lasering palm trees at night, to scaling/finding tall 'look outs' (even tops of parking lots), all kinds of music, kite-flying, duck-feeding, electric-scootering and so on.... I like it all - it's awesome.
Trained in world class sports (i.e. diving, ballet, gymnastics) and drum corp - with scholastic strengths in math, science, research methods and... yatta, yatta...
I mostly resonnate with people who are compassionate toward others, naturally positive, understand life is uncertain and individuals who know they make a difference. Those who already have had an amazing life - and seek a competent ally. For the rest on me - feel welcome to write or invite me to chat.
p.s. I get some of the most wonderful notes (from all over the country/world). Thank you - pls know I'm really looking for friends close by. Peace : )
Wishing everyone "good fishing"
