Hey ladies, thanks for reading my profile!
I've gotta be honest. I'm not one of those people with huge aspirations. I'm not going to travel abroad to many countries, living out of shanties while saving thousands of women, men and children in poverty-stricken areas from disease and hunger. I am not going to climb mountains. I won't be found downtown protesting the latest political outrage. I have smaller ideas. I am a dreamer. My one wish for life is only to be happy and to be content. I guess that I just want to enjoy my life while I am on this earth. I don't want to fight anyone's war, and I don't want to sit in judgment of anyone else's opinions or beliefs.
I work for the Government. It's not a job that a lot of people appreciate, but I like it, and the characters I meet, and let me tell you, there are alot of characters!
I have been single for over 10 years now (by choice), and it's starting to really suck! I work funny hours, so I REALLY look forward to my downtime! I like to go out on the weekends, and I'm always up to go to a concert, or a weekend trip to Chicago or Toronto, or stay close and hang out in Detroit.
I guess that I could be best described as "retro". I love funky old stuff, I hit up resale shops and flea markets frequently. lol
I usually kinda go "against the grain", so chances are that you have never met anyone quite like me. ;)
When it's nice outside, me and the dog are usually out at the park. I am obsessed with Detroit history, and I will take drives (and walks) through the city checking out how much things have changed throughout the years. I've even been on the roof of the old Michigan depot!
I am a certified Apple fanatic. I've even worked at Apple!
I drive an old VW bug, and a Yugo. haha
I am always listening to music, and it's always a mish-mosh of just about everything. I don't really listen to new stuff, I love swing, singer/songwriter from the 60's and 70's, some country, old R&B, 90's grunge, and Motown. I don't know if I should reveal this, but I a fan of BOTH Michael Bolton and Richard Marx... eek. But to be fair, Luther Vandross is still the #1 artist on my iPod. ;)
I am looking for the "girl next-door type", but I am up for anything. I just ask that you are honest with me, and you don't play any games! If you have emotional issues, move along! I'm tired of shopping the Damaged Goods department. lol.
I WILL NOT SETTLE for just anyone, there must be a spark there!
I'm not here for a "hook-up".
There are a few pluses for me: Glasses, girls who like to wear hats, nerdy, and dark hair/eyes. They are not MUST's, just pluses. ;)
If there is anything else you'd like to know, I am pretty open - so just ask!
p.s. I RARELY EVER send a first message, so don't be afraid to "break the ice".
p.p.s I have a FULL head of hair, I just choose to shave it all off. lol

First dates are always weird. lol. Maybe dinner/drinks, putt putt, or even just a walk. Something where we could talk and get to know each other!
