About Me
I’m really good at:
Baking cakes, brownies and other awesome things. I'm good at having fun when doing things that normally aren't fun, like a walk to the store. Once I went all the way to a store in my prom dress and bought cookies, then walked all the way home on the scenic route for absolutely no reason at all... making adventures out of nothing is something I greatly enjoy.
My self-summary:
I Like; animals, video games, sewing, walking, hiking, baking, swimming, biking, road trips, and watching the sky . I also enjoy just hanging around town or having a movie day or video game marathon. Whatever feels fun or whatever comes to mind.
My friends and all the caring people in my life are very important to me. I love to hug, laugh and be random. My friends are the closest people to me and I consider them my family. I am a good listener and love to help and give advice but I also like to just be there for someone to talk to.
What I’m doing with my life:
I was a CNA for many years but it was depressing me to become so close with my clients and then lose them. If you want to be a CNA for your entire career you have to detach from the clients and I can't do that. Now I have a guard card and have gotten into the field of security/law. I'm not cut out to be a full police officer but security is something I feel I can do for a long time. I'll still be helping people but I wont be so involved in their care or everyday lives.
In other news: I've adopted a mini dachshund (wiener dog) and I named him obi-wan kenobi and I love being a dog owner!
The first things people usually notice about me:
That I have big scars on my neck. (Not self inflicted)
People notice that I love muffins and talk about them sometimes. They rock!
That I'm always up for hugs when with the right person/people. Hugs are just plain awesome.
That I'm sentimental, I talk about memories alot and most of the things I own hold a special significance.
That I'm very put together, wise about my decisions and mature in my way of thinking despite the things I've been through in my life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food:
Books: You don't know me by David Klass is my favorite book. I read it all the time over and over. I have other books that I thought were good but that one is definitely my favorite. I'm always interested in finding great new things to read.
Movies: Watchmen, Donnie Darko, The Dark Knight, My Neighbor Totoro, Memento, The Inuyasha anime series (which includes 4 movies), the Yu Yu Hakusho anime series (which has one movie), and all of the Rifftrax/MST3K/Cinematic Titanic movies.
Food: I'm easily satisfied with a simple meal of pasta with butter and parmesan but I can also appreciate the complexity of a dinner that takes hours too. I'm a fan of spicy and salty things. (To clarify I mean both kinds of spicy. Cinnamon and nutmeg are delicious spices but I also love salsa, tapatio etc.) Like many other people I do get fast food on occasion and eat it while questioning where the cheese came from. As far as snacks go I can't resist cheez-its and those spicy cheetos.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit:
I like old TV shows that usually no one knows about like Twilight Zone and Mystery Science Theater 3000.
I laugh at the words pineapple and zipper. Not all the time, just sometimes when I hear those words I'll give a little laugh. I dont know why, they just tickle me.
I'm only ticklish on my back in a really specific area. I find it funny when people try to tickle me anywhere else. It doesn't work!
I'm very hard to offend so if you're curious about something just ask.
