About Me
Where to start. Now that my kids are raised (successfully) and have found their own way, it's time to consider taking that leap into the dating scene again for one more chance at finding lasting love. There's really nothing like loving and being loved by a man who equally enjoys being in a monogamous relationship. The trust, intimacy, and love that can build over time; well, there's really nothing quite like it.
My energy level is higher than most women my age (my age is correct and true, as is everything I have typed here). My daughter and I ran a half marathon 18 mths ago and I look forward to another some day. The outdoors/nature is a very important part of my life. There are really too many things I enjoy about life that I couldn't possibly list them here. But I hope I haven't seen everything. Learning new skills and experiencing new places, people, and cultures are activities I just can't get enough of, at least while I'm still working full-time.
Don't get me wrong, although I still enjoy my work, I really look forward to meeting a true friend, lover, and companion to navigate the next phase of life; retiring to experience new, fun, and adventurous times.
After many years I've learned quite a bit about myself; what I'm about. Although I definitely lean towards liberal ideas, I firmly believe that teaching one to make their own way, in lieu of handouts, is key. I'm open-minded and compassionate, but I only respect those who aren't afraid to work hard for what they want out of life instead of wasting their energy complaining about what they don't have. My spiritual beliefs are equally as complex, in a nutshell, I have a problem with organized religion and the rampant hypocrisy that sometimes accompanies it. But this is neither the time nor place to discuss such sensitive issues, or is it?
I'm not looking for someone to agree with me, but someone who has ideas and is not afraid to discuss them. The exchange of ideas is a wonderful activity that helps us see the world through each others eye's. There's really nothing quite as stimulating to me as learning something new.
