About Me
Hey there! Let's see....how to start this...
Well, my name is Derek and I live the splendid city of Orlando and work at Orlando Regional Health. I just moved here recently and I really don't know the area as well as I would like to and I only know about 3 people up here. Hospital jobs eat your life! But seriously, this is why I took the time to make one of these in hopes of meeting someone cool to enjoy my off time with!
I have Italian, French Canadian, German, and American Indian backgrounds and I am very proud of where I come from.
I enjoy the small things in life as much as possible because when it boils down to it, it's all about enjoying the small things and letting go of the trivial small bs.
I am a very outgoing individual and I look for the same in who I meet. I cannot stand shy individuals or those who have poor communication skills. I love a good conversation over drinks and intelligence for me is a super turn on, so talk nerdy to me ;).
When I'm not stuck at work for my 7 days on, I enjoy: going to the beach, longboarding, working out, movies, hiking, kayaking, camping, reading a good book or comic, photography, and playing some video games.
I love to longboard! Honestly one of my passions in life, it's a rush every time.
I'm taking the time to invest in a good DSLR camera but right now I can't think if I want to roll Canon or Nikon....hmmm decisions, decisions. I would like to take photography of skating, nature and taking pictures for comic book conventions. So many awesome costumes and cool people.
I also have an insane comic book collection (mostly Green Lantern and Spider-Man) which is consistently growing and will continue to grow so long as I keep enjoying the read! Plus the artwork, I'm a major fan of comic book artwork.
I am currently employed in a hospital pharmacy working as a pharmacy technician. . I have pharmacy as a good fall back profession but I really want to get a job that allows me to network and meet people so I have my sights set on greater things which I am building toward and still finding out.
In the meantime I'm living in a apartment in Orlando and enjoying my life while I save up for the next big move. I've been working on getting back in shape from all the college lazyness and so far its been working out pretty well. I also cut out the smoking and stopped eating sh*tfood, although I tend to fold once in a while.

First Date
Honestly there really is no way to plan out a first date so I would like to just have a nice chill walk downtown or go to a place that promotes being social and getting to know one another, like a karaoke bar. Dinner and a movie is really lame as all hell. Zoos and mini golf = excellence, maybe even an arcade for some friendly competition ;).
