** UPDATE: During the first week of October I broke my foot. It's finally showing some positive improvement but it's SLOW. As of 1/23/16 I'm still on crutches. :-(
I have a great sense of humor. I love to read. I enjoy learning new stuff, I have two dogs, I think lizards are cool. I'm a bit shy until I get to know someone. Terribly afraid of spiders. I hate yard work. I do not approve recreational use of marijuana.
I don't believe in perfection, I want a man who has flaws, knows this and still strives to be the best man he can. Confidence is a huge turn on!! And being with a man who is a gentleman, is sublime.
I love to travel, but hate to drive. My favorite destination is the beach. I've never been on a cruise, to Disney Land, or Hawaii. :-/ and looking to rectify that!!! I've traveled a fair distance in the U.S. I've been, to England and Ireland. I just came back from a week in Vegas, the only time I spent in the casinos were walking to the restaurants/buffets or the concierge services. While there I remembered how much I like to dance! And I can dance to anything with a beat! I adore romantic comedies, and must admit I love John Wayne movies and war themed movies/books. I don't watch scary movies EVER.
I don't need to be entertained and really like my alone time, I would appreciate someone who has interests of their own, 1) that we could share and 2) because I think it's healthy to have some individual interests. I guess in a way I'm a bit of an introvert - I have a government related job and have a lot of interaction with the public. At the end of the day I need quiet time. :)
I'm looking for a man that is ready and able to love. If you have emotionally disconnected because you are afraid of being hurt - you have already hurt yourself. 20 seconds of courage, I can do this. I've read a lot of profiles from men that want a partner to do everything they do....really? I wonder if that means they will do everything women like to do. Let's go on an adventure!
A fun first date could be a trip to the zoo. Lots of fun, plenty to discuss, people to watch and stress free, unless you freak out over reptiles! A morning hike at Bridgeport would also be nice. Or, there is always Starbucks.
