About Me

One hydrogen runs up to another and says:
“Dude, I lost an electron”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, I am positive”
If you find the nerdy joke above funny, or are, in any shape or form, a nerd we will get along.
Outside of the 8 to 430 daily grind, sports take up a large portion of my evenings/weekends. This, currently, includes soccer and indoor beach volleyball, and I try to sneak in a game of golf whenever the weather permits. In the summers I pick up windsurfing and tennis. I can both ski and snowboard but I have failed to find the time to dedicate days to it on a regular basis; I think Vancouver winters are a blessing to recuperate from spring/summer/fall non-stop adventures.
Music and dancing are a huge part of my life, it helps me get away from thinking about work.I used to go to shows a lot and I do have a need to be somewhere, every couple of weeks (maybe even more frequently), with Electro (Max Vangeli, Chuckie, AN21, Alesso, Avicii, Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, Afro Jack, Benny Benassi or some random local talent) pumping and getting in a few solid hours of dancing [in case you are wondering, yes sober]. Please note, although I love my dancing and going out, I am by no means a bar star nor do I fist pump (although I'll gladly accept any Gangam style challange!!).
As much I do love House, I do listen to music that encompasses a variety of genres. I have a strange love for vintage blues and jazz; and no matter what mood I am in I will instantly have the biggest stupid grin on my face listening to either of those.
I try not to excessively drink (when going out or otherwise), but living with a Russian roommate, it is becoming ever so difficult to keep my liver healthy. I have decided to sign him up for alcoholics anonymous, but he says AA goes against all his cultural beliefs, so I am considering throwing him off the balcony. And BAM healthy liver for me!
What I am trying to say is, I have no interest in being around anyone with excessive substance abuse needs (alcohol or any form of drugs, weed included). I am fairly open-minded, so recreational use, once in a while, I won’t judge; but if you need to toke/roll on a daily basis we probably won’t get along.
I will admit [and hopefully you can at least give me some credit for the honesty], I picked up smoking 3 years ago (apparently doing your masters and working full time makes you want to poison your lungs), have managed to quit only to fall off the bandwagon on and off. I typically manage to kick the habit instantly if I am seeing someone (as I am fully aware no one wants to kiss an ashtray), I would prefer if you are a non-smoker, or at the very least trying to quit (prevents enabling).
I have been to over 25 countries, most of those NOT as a back packer (now that I think of it, I only backpacked Greece). I prefer to travel to experience a place rather than see it. I enjoy finding out about different cultures and their cuisines [the more weird the food, the better].
I love to read books, typically those that help me understand the world better, rather those that strictly entertain. I try to rotate between non-fiction and fiction as much as I can. Speaking of books and great topics, if, for whatever illogical reason, you have this urge to initiate a conversation with me (I promise I won't feel any less of a man if you do, actually it is flattering, AND you probably won't hear the end of it but don't let that stop you!) simply start it with “Have you read…”. Alternatively, and albeit it has NOTHING to do with books, you can also tell me how much you love Nutella and how you put that "$hit" on EVERYTHING!
I play hard, work smart (not hard, unless I must) and I work to live. I have: an education; a great career (one that I enjoy in all respects); an amazing group of friends; a great relationship with my family; and mommy and daddy that did not have to pay for my school, cars [by the way golf clubs and BMWs are my expensive, guilty pleasures] or apartments. I try my hardest to make time for all adventures at the cost of sleep, so nap times are highly valued. Sooo if any of the previously mentioned sparks your interest, I am hoping to find a person that is at a similar stage in life, or at least has the same approach to it.
I am looking for an open-minded, intellectually stimulating woman that has a bit of an athletic side to her (albeit not necessary, artsy and nerdy works too). Women capable of: compassion; random acts of kindness; being nurturing towards children; and demonstrating respect towards elders, score high in my "bring her home to Mama" books. Oh and if you are capable of going off on random rants and kind of gets feisty over stupidity in this world; it is a huge turn on and always makes me laugh.
Bonus points (I said, bonus points, these are not must-haves!) if you play a violin, paint, play tennis/golf, own a puppy, can dance and/or are slightly out of your freakn mind but can control it with a glass of wine and/or dark chocolate).
I guess I should make a couple of comments about my profile.
It states I am looking for a relationship, technically speaking it should say "dating with hopes of it turning into a meaningful relationship", I would add to that "...and a happy ending" but I feel that last part would be completely misinterpreted.
Yes, I do have a tattoo, and no it is not water soluble.

Alright, apologies for my quick fingers (Yeah! That's right...quick fingers!) typing up tons of reading material, I'll shut up now.
Happy Fishing!
First Date
Options are: tennis (or tennis lessons, free of charge I promise!); miniature golf(or if you want to risk 3 or 4 hour first date playing the real course); go to an art gallery; windsurfing (or windsurfing lessons, mind you I probably need lessons myself); go for a bike ride around the seawall; walk around Granville Island; sit down over tea, coffee or a beer.
Or, sigh, for the adventurous type I am down with midnight skinny dipping too. Preferably not in the dead of winter as the cold water might leave you with absolutely the wrong impression of me. You know what I mean, right? (*This, clearly, should not be the initiating topic of conversation. I know, I bet you wish half the POF boys got that memo, hey?*)
