I know who I am as a person and have my priorities straight. I am ambitious and get what I want in life because I work my tush off to get it. I have a busy life, but life never gets to busy for those that are important to me.
My family is the one thing I cherish the most, I will do anything for them and miss them a lot. Surprise! I am from Michigan which makes me a weird mix of Canadian ways with Midwestern values.
Continuing to learn, experiencing life outside my own and making an impact on our society is what drives my curiosity.I am in the process of finishing up my degree in Early Childhood Development, right now, and plan on working my way up to a masters degree.
I have two passions in life, swimming and child development/psychology.
When I am not swimming I'm teaching people how to swim. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than to have/help my swimmers achieve their goals. I am currently training for the Alcatraz swim in San Francisco!!!
Along with swimming I have a strong passion for teaching children with special needs and preschoolers. Their zest for life and innocent outlook is one we all can take a lesson from. They teach me just as much as I teach them.
I am very fond of trivia and random facts: Did you know?
During WWII, the first bomb dropped on Germany by the allies killed the only elephant left in the Berlin Zoo.
When Michigan was a new territory, deer were so common that hunters would use deer skins and deer carcasses as money. A whole deer carcass was worth a dollar, hence, the dollar became known for what it was worth "a buck".
Now regardless if you message me or not from reading my profile you have learned something new today and hopfully a little about me.
