Caught in a jam? call me. A date that wont embarrass you at the company party? I clean up well! I know when to have fun, and when to be formal/serious (Take your arm...open a door, pull out a chair) If it gets really hectic, snatch off you heels and jump on my back, cause' we gotta go!
Now that I have your ear for a moment, I'm glad you dropped by so I will try to be to the point. I grew up in Michigan, retired from the Marine Corps, a few years ago and now I find myself in Texas where I plan on being for awhile teaching school. I'm not a really "funny" person (I do say some really funny things) but I have a subtle, wicked sense of humor.
Description: Aware, worldly, genuine, creative, and "down-to-earth"...a "True Renaissance Man". I am good with the written word, pride myself on being comfortable in a multitude of settings. Don't have a lot of pet peeves outside of people chewing on pens and pencils, and I think that good penmanship is a lost art. Let’s get out, laugh, or daydream for an hour about our next adventure. Sound interesting? Of course it does!
About you: 1st Do you have TIME TO DATE? it's an honest question.
2nd: Do you have "Common Sense?". I'm just looking for an adult to connect with and go from there. Someone who has aspirations and goals and I can be their biggest supporter or Cheerleader. Let me know where you're trying to go, and I will help you get there.
Someone to shoot pool with, go to the movies or just talk. You like good music, going dancing, taking a drive or short stroll in the park or trails, or listening to music in a bar. If you can handle any of the above, we will get along alright.
Let's face it: We have all been through the "Ringer" "Hurt" "Burned" "Scorned" or have "Jumped through Hoops" when dealing with the opposite sex at some point in our lives. A lot of us torpedo any chance we have on here when we project our frustrations in our profile. There is a difference between "Anger" and "Truths." and I try to deal in the latter. You're a grown adult and you should be past the "Test a Date" phase and letting Steve Harvey run your relationship. Like most people I can write a book about some of my adventures, and the episodes become funnier the older I get. After some soul searching I realized that I don't suffer fools lightly, and adults need to be adults. Now on to the next chapter.........
I'm sure some of you can appreciate an employed man with no "babymamadrama" (I'm a teacher, I love kids, just never had any of my own, that train has passed) that’s fairly good looking and an above-average dancer ; ) I have my own place, with books on my shelves, (Some without pictures in them). If a person is worth the time, you will make the time, it's that simple. I will not be hitting you up to go dutch or for "Gas Money" or come to your place of work needing your ATM card.
Hope you at least got a laugh out of my profile (Or for that matter it really impressed you!) thanks for dropping by.
-Karaoke: Like to sing, studied voice as a child and I try to go out singing at least once a week

Food: Into all kinds of food, enjoy trying out new sushi bars in the area (Not a deal-breaker if you don't) I can go from Five Star Restaurants to Brisket on Paper Plates in the same day.
Music: My dial is not set anywhere in particular, I have always been a fan of 80's music and Vocal Jazz Kurt Elling, Manhattan Transfer, and New York Voices. Other favorites are Swing Out Sister, Raul Midon, Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66, R&B, Pop, and 80's synth and music that you can actually dance to!
As long as you don't bring a chaperone were straight.
We can meet for a drink, go for a walk see a concert or dancing, hit a Baseball or Softball at the cages, Roller Skate, or an Astros game. Input is appreciated this may be "The South" but you will have to make a decision from time to time.
