About Me
I am attracted to people who stand out because they are unique. Stand out can be in a passive introverted way, because simplicity and shyness are both beautiful. Smart people are interesting, people who are always right are not. I tend to admire odd ducks that live to smile.
I am active, but not a jock. I play softball, volleyball and I am attempting curling (much to the delight of hecklers). I go to the gym as a coping mechanism for work, not to become a meathead.
Goals and aspirations... I know I have some. I always find something clever to say in interviews. But honestly, I just want to be happy with where I am at, who I am with, and healthy enough to enjoy life to the fullest. My career is important and I have seperate professional goals that fluctuate. But if my dreams changed, I would walk away from my professional accomplishments and find a new drive, perhaps in a humanitarian field. I believe in evolution and would not be able to sit still if my values changed.
Unique, well, I love to smile and laugh. I try not to take myself to seriously, after all , I am flawed (sometimes). And I have wonderful people surrounding me who keep me in check. I am a spectrum of likes and dislikes.

First Date
First dates are awkward and almost unnatural. I am a people person, very outgoing and yet, exceedingly shy on a first date. The ideal first date has to feel almost spontaneous. I don't need a hollywood scripted location, conversation, attire, etc or a John Hugues moment. It could be a last minute invitation to a wine bar with tapas or seeing an indie concert in a dive. I need to connect with a person on a date and feel there is something genuine that can be developed. First date should always feel like the first time you see Paris.
