About Me
Me:I love djing (turntablist 14yrs)even though I've had to put it on the back burner for a while so I can focus on school, mountain biking, dancing, hiking, surfing, boogie boarding, basketball, and swimming. I started out skiing when I was three and have been snow boarding since I was seventeen and am proud to say I do both at an expert level (although I just stick to boarding now.) I'm a total mediaphile. I love trying new things especially new and interesting foods. I love to cook for friends and family and did it professionally for several years but, do get me wrong I love to eat out at a nice restaurant too and let someone else do the cooking. :) I've lived in Texas(San Antonio and Austin), California (Riverside), and Hawaii (Honolulu). Plus I drove an 18 wheeler 48 states and Canada for over a year. So I've done a fair amount of traveling, which I love and plan to do more of once I've finished school. I love stand up comedy and have even written a short routine of my own. I have a great sense of humor but, I can be some what of a smartass. However, I'm very sincere, up front, outgoing, and spontaneous. My favorite movies include: 50 1st Dates, Fight Club, Boondock Saints, V for Vendetta, The 2 most recent Batman flicks, Trainspotting, Mean Girls, Death to Smoochy and Zack and Miri Make a Porno.(Among others) As far as music is concerned I like anything with a good beat preferably hip hop(underground not top 40's), House, Break beats, 90's Alternative or trip hop. Some of my favorite artists include: Dj Shadow, Blacalicious, Camp Lo, Mark Farina, Theivrey Corporation, The Avalanches, Nirvana, Oasis, Alice in chains, Pearl Jam, Aesop Rock, Amon Tobin, and Bass Nectar. Just to name a few. Occasionally I like to read. So far I've particularly enjoyed pretty much anything by James Patterson, Sun Tzu's The Art of War, The Alchemist by: Paulo Coehlo, The Talisman by: Stephen King and Peter Straub, Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life, Mere Christianity by: C.S. Lewis, Seven Secrets to Spiritual Success by: Deepak Chopra, and The Shack by: William P Young. Last fall I began attending classes at SAC working towards an associates in computer network administration but, this spring decided to change my career path towards nursing. So wish me luck. Update: Things are going well in school. I Raised my GPA almost a whole point! Also, just got some new ink... Check out the new pics I uploaded. And I've been working out between 3 and 5 days a week so I'm a little more trim and buff now than in the most recent photos taken in December. (3/24/10) You: I prefer someone intellectual but, also funny and witty.. Someone that I can carry on a conversation with and while attraction is important I'm really not all that concerned when it comes to looks. A good personality goes a long way. I'm concerned with other important things as well. Are you a kind and good person inside? Is there chemistry between us? Unfortunately those aren't things you can learn by reading a profile or looking at a picture. So if what I've had to say sparks your interest message me and let's talk more. -W First Date TBD: Lunch, Dinner, Coffee, Stand up show, Movies, Picnic at the Park, Zoo, Cook you dinner.
