I'm an outgoing plus-sized girl with a deep love of a good book and a bar with great manhattans. I love my work with social justice and am really committed in particular to workers' rights and ending violence in Oakland, but I also love to take time out from work to cook, enjoy a hike or a walk in the beatiful outdoors (urban or not), hang out with friends, play guitar (badly) and sing (a little bit better).
I definitely think smart is sexy (and emotional intelligence counts), and I'm a sucker for a guy who's really passionate about what he does and has developed a thoughtful view on issues relating to social justice. I'm mixed race and date men of all races, though I tend to connect better with men of color.
I'm looking for the possibility of a real relationship where we can laugh at ourselves and support each other.
If you think we might click, I'd love a message from you letting me know what you thought about the title of my profile. You'd be surprised how many guys are just looking for a booty call, so I'd love a message that gives me something to work with, rather than just " 'Sup. You're sexy." Even if I am ;)
(A good friend of mine actually filtered men by asking them to tell her something that would make her laugh--it's how she ended up with a really wonderful, kind and sexy teacher. :) )
A great night to me would be a meal at a hole-in-the-wall ethnic restaurant, live jazz, or a couple of drinks while we get to know each other!
