About Me
I love spending time relaxing at a cafe with a great book and a cup of chai; I also love cooking, live music, trying new bars, and hiking. I love a guy who introduces me to new things and places!
I'm a "save the world" kind of girl and throw myself into my work, but I'm really good at making time for friends and fun. My favorite friends are the ones comfortable talking about substantive issues as well as just cutting loose and laughing together. (Confessionally, because I do so much of that "save the world" stuff in my work life, the edgier the humor when I'm off the clock, the more fun. A lot of people put me in the "isn't she sweet" box, but I'm way more at home with quick, maybe even slightly sarcastic, wit.)
I'm a total history nerd--some of my favorite little day trips of late have included the Winchester Mystery House, Hearst Castle and the Steinbeck Museum!
I've been off the race track for a while but I'm finally getting back towards a goal of doing another half marathon this fall, or possibly a triathlon...I did one back in 2005, but I never really learned how to ride a bike, so I crashed halfway through. I'd love connecting with someone who can teach me how to ride for real!
Also, POF includes a list of things girls don't want to chat about; I like talking about all of them except 4, 6 and 9 (and if you talk about 2 and 3 TOO much, it's an indicator of something very wrong). :)
