On a typical Friday night I am: Trying to figure out what is that ingredient that will pull together this slow braised lamb belly with flageolet beans pomes puree and smoked balsamic reduction sauce. Either that or partying like a rock star.
The most private thing I am willing to admit: I wear a special cologne. It’s called Sex Panther by Odeon. It’s illegal in nine countries…and it’s made with bits of real panther, so you know it’s good.
The best day I can imagine: Get up early and pack a bad ass picnic basket.(you've never been on a real picnic till you have been with a chef) Hit a quiet beach and get in a good surf sesh! enjoy the picnic goodies by the sea side. catch a little R and R under the sun... got to pack up! going to be late for the Angels game! let's go!

First Date
I don’t think it matters what we do on a first date, and I am a big fan of simplicity, so a coffee and walk would be just fine. Even better would be a few drinks, some entertaining conversation and a stroll down the beach.
