I am a young professional guy looking for new friends and dates in Vancouver. I'm a pretty passionate guy, and I'm often drawn to other passionate people. What excites you?
I love music, play piano, and I really enjoy dancing when I get the chance. I love to cook; I've recently gotten into making Indian dishes with crazy ingredients like Asoefetida. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, and walking on the beach. I have a secret love of games, especially epic nerdy ones, but I rarely get a chance to play. I can be very artistic and crafty, and I'm looking for someone to inspire me.
Most of my time is devoted to my job as a scientist and an educator. It is very rewarding work, but it can be stressful at times. The job also includes a fair bit of travel, which I try to incorporate into mini-vacations. For example, some of my work sees me out on a small island conducting biological surveys along a remote coastline. Pretty amazing that I get paid to walk on the beach and stare at the ocean. (pinch me!)
I am a huge music lover. Recently been listening to M83, Band of Skulls, First Aid Kit, and Besnard Lakes. I am totally obsessed with Arcade Fire, and often alternate between them and the Scissor Sisters. I still heart Owen Pallett. Other bands in my library include Chromeo, Phoenix, Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Portishead, Massive Attack, Muse, Of Montreal, Beach House, Beirut, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and Death Cab for Cutie. I love electronic music, and could listen to classic Orbital, Prodigy, and Boards of Canada for hours on end. I play piano and I love Chopin waltzes, Beethoven sonatas, Saint Saens, Shostakovich, and Debussy.

First Date
First date would probably be coffee and a walk around Stanley Park. Concert, art museum, hiking, dinner at my place... these all come later. :-)
