About Me

I am a student for life. I am always seeking to learn something new and ultimately want to remain in academia. I enjoy writing short stories and playwriting in English, Spanish, and Italian. My study interest is in Renaissance Drama and Post-Modern criticism and theory. I would like to be an editor at large for a major publication - my dream would be to become a literary critic for The New Yorker. I am incredibly ambitious and I never limit my dreams, though sometimes I do bite off more than I can chew. I love cooking and baking. I am a tea snob, and kick whip up a nice tea latte or whatever your tastes are. If you are a coffee lover, don't worry - my ancestors and I have coffee in our blood, so consider me a novice barista. I love communicating with people: I know when to talk and when to listen. My friends would tell you that I am shy at first, but open up quickly. I would tell you that I listen first, then talk. My friends and I can agree on me being blatantly honest and straightforward, though at times I find that I bite my tongue or reap the consequences. I am looking for a man who can stand on his two feet and knows how to use them to get places. I love guys that are artistic and are able to express themselves in unique ways. I love colorful guys and nice, outgoing personalities. In terms of the arts, I love all types of music especially california rock from the 2000's (can never get enough of No Doubt and Blink 182). I love going to museums, though I am inclined to all things avant-gard. If things go well, I'll read you a couple of passages from David Levithan's "The Lover's Dictionary," since I'm a helpless romantic - meaning you will have to be prepared to have love poetry read to you (especially Pablo Neruda). First Date

For a first date I would go out to a coffee shop, a tea shop, or an environment where we can talk and get to know one another better. I also enjoy walking through the city, particularly downtown or around central park. I would also be open to going out for dinner, dessert, coffee, and/or whatever the night leads to. What is most important for me on a first date is to be in an environment that is conducive to conversation. I always approach first dates without any expectations and an open mind, and I look for the same in my date.
