About Me
I'm a cartoonist who works mainly in TV animation and all the things that go along with that. So I draw a lot, watch a lot of movies, go to the theatre whenever the opportunity presents itself and seek out new music that inspires me to work. Finding a great new song or band that motivates me is really rewarding. The stuff I usually gravitate to usually has its legs in something I like thematically. So in a day my playlist usually bounces around through The Decemberists, Tom Waits, Circus Contraption, Clockwork Quartet, Hammerfall, Nightwish, soundtracks, Daft Punk, Broadway, 80's music and swing.
In terms of movies I love horror films. The thicker the atmosphere is slathered on the happier I am. But I also love action movies (especially 80s movies when they used to build their own sets and everything) fantasy movies, sci fi, and comedy. I also finally got around to watching some Hollywood Classics that I'd been meaning to see forever. So Sunset Boulevard, Tophat, Some Like it Hot, and Singin' in the Rain. Loved them... except Tophat.
Oh and I'm the self-declared world champion of underwater tag. If you can catch me it's either because you trained with the same secretive group of underwater tag ninjas that I did, or because I let you. Gauntlet = thrown.
And the boring stuff... yeah I run, bike, swim, take care of myself, eat well, yadda yadda yadda. I've never longed to flee into the mountains for the rest of my life with a tent and a yoga mat. I like going out and being active but I also like a quiet weekend at the pub with a bunch of good friends and playing ridiculous games.
I own sock suspenders. Just saying.
