Hey! I am a fun loving teacher who never knows how to describe herself. I am a person that tends to be able to make people laugh because I am not afraid to discover the dork within me. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a civilized conversation and tend to be described as the "wise" or "intelligent" one out of my friend group. I grew up in Santa Cruz, therefore the beach is a place I find very comforting and relaxing, even on the foggiest days. I am a romantic...sometimes. I like living a healthy lifestyle that includes ice cream now and then and skipping your workout to help a friend. I have a knee issue and have recently found swimming as one of the best forms of exercise and a truly enjoyable activity, there are some days where things are just best under the water. I have also gotten really into a form of hip-hop dance fitness as a workout...it's ok, you can laugh, I laugh at myself all the time! I was raised by poets and love a good description of things, or taking an extra moment to notice something special about the world. I like music that I can sing along to, if I know the words I'll sing. I am a person who is dedicated to her job. I teach sixth grade at a middle school, it is the biggest challenge I have ever faced but every day there are victories, and my students are amazing people. Okay, I think I have given enough of my unorganized, contradictory thoughts on myself for the time being. Feel free to start a conversation, I am open.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
On a first date I would probably let the guy take the lead, I tend to be a little traditional in that way.
However, if he wasn't taking that lead, I would jump right in. I do believe that people need to be able to talk to each other in order to get to know each other first, so I would recommend my favorite coffee shops but then take those coffees on a walk. One of the best first dates I ever went on was to a Krispy Kreme store, I am not really into all the bells and whistles all the time, I am just looking to have a good time getting to know someone.
