I love to listen to good music (just about ALL kinds, but especially Latin, Jazz, R & B and classical) and love to go to concerts. Back in the day, I used to do a lot of dancing, not so much anymore. Still, if the right partner showed up.... Enjoy hanging out with friends and family, but also savor cozying up with a good book by the fireplace, especially on a snowy or rainy, cold day. Even better with a good friend. I sometimes think about all of us out there waiting to find that someone special, and think maybe we should just focus more on meeting a lot of good, nice people......one at a time, and trust that eventually, the RIGHT one will surface. Maybe? I hate the thought of wasting all these weekends waiting for the RIGHT one, and missing out on making some really good friendships. If you agree, please let me know!
I recently retired from the healthcare field and enjoyed what I did (nursing, software sales). But now, ready for a much slower pace and waking up when I want to. Yes, retirement is everything and more!
Probably, just like everyone else on this site, what I really dream about is finding just that right person who complements me and together our "oneness" is better than our separateness. I'm ready to start hanging out! Please let me if you feel the same!
My apologies if this offends you, but I feel the need to add a couple of caveats as 'full disclaimers about me", so if your profile is mostly filled with pictures of dogs, cats, fish or other pets and cars instead of YOU, it really does make it a bit challenging for me to understand who you are and want to respond. If all of those things are important to you, I get it, but maybe you could send this info later? as in AFTER we've have a chance to exchange a few emails? Also, I can tolerate a couple of misspelled words in your profile, but much more than that and I begin to question if you’re just sloppy, don’t care enough to spell check or possibly didn’t pay attention in school. So, yes, all of those are important to me. If they don’t matter to you, we’re not a good match. As our moms used to tell us...first impressions are everything! Respondents with a photo get first preference, too! :)
PS – you can have your own list of likes/dislikes and if I don’t make the cut, I won’t be offended! :)
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
First meetings are probably best over coffee, lunch or dinner so we can mutually determine whether a 2nd meeting makes sense. Lots of good conversation, laughs, getting to know each other, and (hopefully) making plans for Next Time. Whatever we do, let's make it memorable so we can say "We did THAT on our first date?!!" If we make it that far, then I enjoy walking around the city (especially Ann Arbor!), window shopping and people watching, and then let's head out for a concert or play.
