About Me
I am confident, grounded, independent and strong Christian woman. I am passionate, caring, supportive, giving, honest and respectful of others. I have been divorced for almost 12 yrs so I am ready to settle down for good at this point in my life. I do not have children but would have loved to have had some I just never found the right time/place and oh ya man... I have 2 dogs a beagle and a choc lab and 1 sibling, a younger brother, he is married w/ 2 teenagers. I own my home, work in retail and have a wonderful group of friends!
I love to travel...some of my favorite places are Destin FLA, CO and Las Vegas depending on my mood.
Although I am 43, people say I don't look my age, they usually guess me in my mid 30's. And yes, I usually date younger men. Nothing against men my age but I rarely find one I am physically attracted to and click with.
I have been in 3 very serious relationships...the first lasted 6 years and that one consisted of a 5 yr marriage that ended for many reasons and I will be glad to share those reasons in person, the second one was 2 yrs and we were engaged but he passed away unexpectedly and the 3rd one was also 2 yrs and we mutually broke up b/c he was much younger than me and we were not in the same place at the same time. So you can see from this I know how to be in a relationship and I enjoy it but I also will never settle...I know how to be independent and on my own but ultimately I am looking for that person who completes me and I have hope that he is still out there. Of course I have had other relationships in between these serious ones but honestly they only lasted about 3-4 months at a time. I do NOT like to date but I know it is a means to an end and unfortunately very necessary. No games or drama here...too old for that! If we meet pls do NOT say what you think I wanna hear, I am a big girl and I can accept your true feelings. Don''t lie to me, I dislike liars!
I recently saw an elderly couple and they still look at each other like the sun sets in each others eyes? That is what I am looking for... seeing them made me smile and feel hope. He held her hand and opened the door for her..Who knows what obstacles they had faced in life, but they still looked at each other and the love just radiated between them.
I love to snuggle, kiss and hold hands..I am big into touch! Whomever I meet, we must have chemistry because w/o that the passion will not be there and that is a must with me. If you have not been told you are a good kisser at least once in your life we will probably not click romantically. :-) I don't mind a little bit of PDA but too much is a turn off.
Some of my fav things to do are watch live music, go to the movies, watch some sports...mainly football and hockey (Go Cowboys and Stars) and just making dinner and hanging out at home w/ friends periodically or my partner. I love going to the river tubing and even camping every so often. I listen to all types of music and love to dance and sing in the car...LOL and yes I can can carry a tune!
