Edit: Woo! Down about another 25 pounds. Brings my total weight loss to around 50 pounds...can't stop now!.
My name is Jacob and I am on this site looking for romance. I'm looking for that special feeling..giddiness, excitement...however you might want to describe it. I want to feel crazy about a girl; I want her to make me feel stupid, not in a bad way, but in a good way. In the greatest of ways.
The Big Bang Theory, Walking Dead, Agents of SHIELD, Arrow and Game of Thrones are currently my favorite shows and I'm always hearing about others. Tough to keep up with it sometimes.
Other interests include reading comics and other nerdy ventures. I'm in the process of putting together ideas for a comic/book I'd like to write. A dream of mine, right now.
I LOVE to laugh, I really do believe it's the best medicine. Will it cure someone's cancer? No. Will it brighten up someone's otherwise dull day? Definitely. I love watching comedy movies, watching stand-up comedians, etc. To me, one of the greatest feelings in the world is laughing so hard you stop making a noise. I've asked my roomy from college to retell stories over and over just because I know something in it will have me dying. Yeah, I'm weird like that haha.
What else shall I put here? I'm a big fan of oldies, particularly Motown (Stevie Wonder/Temptations). I actually just visited Motown recently, it was one of the greatest days of my life. I feel that the music that was created back then is on a completely different level than the stuff made today. Thats not to say that today's music is bad, I just feel that the majority of it fails in comparison to the music of yesteryear. I'm a sappy romantic who likes listening to love songs; I dream of finding that love of my life one day. But overall, my music tastes are all over the board. I'll go from Stevie Wonder, to 2pac. Michael Jackson to Linkin Park. Really, the only music I am not a fan of is heavy metal/scream-o. I have one heavy metal/scream-o album on my iPod and that's only because one of my best friends recomended it for working out.
I like cooking, and feel that I'm pretty decent at it. I love folding laundry but hate actually doing laundry. I'm a big Cubs/Bulls/Bears/Hawks fan and love going to the games as well as watching them on TV.
I'm really looking for a sweet, down-to-earth girl who can make me feel good about me. I want someone who I can shower with affection. I want someone I can try to make pee from laughing. I want someone who will take me for me and not try to change me to fit their model of an ideal man. I can be your ideal man if you let me...you just gotta give me a chance. Chivalry isn't dead, it just lays dormant in ignorant fools who don't realize how to treat a lady and dont know how to hold on to a good thing. You will never find me hitting a girl,
Haha, I tried shortening this down. I hope it's shorter. If you do message me and make it to the end, that's awesome! Put whether or not you care for Snuggles the bear in your subject line...I for one am creeped out by him.
I think the way I'd like to spend a first date might be just to get together and talk. Learn more about each other: likes, dislikes, all sorts of other information, etc.
I think it would also be nice to maybe go to a museum, or something where we can walk around, enjoy each other's company, talk about each other as well as learn about whatever it is around us. Something public where there are other things to talk about, to fill the void between personal questions, is nice.
Definitely not a dinner and movie. That may have been fine back in high school, but it just leaves no time to get close and learn about the other person.
Bowling could be a fun time, mini-golf (weather permitting), etc. Heck, even grabbing a drink at a coffee shop and talking would be good.
