Things I enjoy --- Cooking together at home. Walking and hiking in the hills and mountains. Being a best friend. Prayer and meditation. Ability to veg on the couch with a good movie. Autumn color drives. Weekend getaways... Being kindhearted, tender, and masculine. The sound of the wind swirling through the pines overhead. The crush of sand under my feet on an ocean beach. A slow, soft, deep kiss hello. Laughter from the center of my stomach to the point of tears. Playing tricks on my friends. Being the father I never had to my one and only child. Sharing God's grace and provision with those less fortunate than I.
I am in no hurry to rush into anything. It would be fantastic to connect with a woman who is mature, passionate, romantic and truly appreciates everything that makes a man, a man, and a woman, a woman...spirit, mind and body.
Born and raised on Maui - yes, Maui - 1960's-1980's. College and young life in San Francisco - late 80's to late 90's. Chicago land area for work and love about 6 years. Colorado for work and where my son was born since 2004. Eclectic interests ranging from painting and selling my abstract acrylic artwork to firing my CZ 75 P-07 Duty model 9mm at the range...and of course almost every superlative in venue, destination, music, cuisine and love.
How I would describe you -- She is affectionate, romantic, thoughtful, kind, forgiving, and puts Love first above all other pursuits and priorities. Someone who understands the joys and burdens of raising children..her own or others. She laughs out loud in a cute obnoxious inviting manner. She flirts with me and let's me take affectionate advantage of her in public. Her soul is like an M&M -- thin candy hard shell outside but warm chocolate soft inside... She enjoys physical expressions of love and affection. She enjoys in equal amounts both solitude and a crowded, sensory overload. Being outside in the glorious Colorado sunshine anywhere trumps sitting inside watching TV...and yes, that includes the Bronco's, sports et.al. She has experienced significant life changing events and pain yet has forgiven herself and every character in that season.

I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” ~ Marilyn Monroe. “You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” ~ Dr. Seuss. “Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you an automobile.” ~ Billy Sunday. “God will not look you over for medals, degrees or diplomas but for scars.” ~ Elbert Hubbard
What I believe about life and people - Far more often than any of us like to admit, our actions are driven by an inner desire to impress other people. This desire is often reflected in the brand name products we use, the bars and restaurants we frequent, the houses and cars we buy and the careers we choose. But are name brand products, fancy bars, houses and cars really that impressive? What about a person who holds an elite position in a career field they dislike? Some of these things might capture our attention for a minute or two, but they won’t hold it for long. Why? Because tangible possessions are not as impressive as intangible qualities.
Consider the following questions:
He drives a Porsche, but can he truly afford the car payment?
He owns a big house, but is it a loving household?
He makes a lot of money, but does he enjoy what he does for a living?
You get the idea.
Now take a moment and imagine a person who loves this life, smiles frequently and bleeds passion in every breath he takes. A man how loves people and uses things, not the other way around. Would he impress you? Would it matter to you that he didn't meet your standard of monetary wealth?
