About Me
I have had a number of hobbies. I have enjoyed fishing, camping, golf, riding my motorcycle and bicycle; music (both listening, and playing).
One of the most fulfilling things, would be to meet a woman I love and respect; can enjoy many activities together; and learn to appreciate and enjoy new activities with each other. These times have been among the highlights of my life;at times, among the most low moments, also. But always one of the most emotional, and strong of memories
.I haven't read a lot but really enjoy it when I get a book I can't put down (and go without enough sleep). Those would be trilogies by Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, stranger in a strange land, some Patterson (Alex Cross). One stand out book was Persig's Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance. I always wanted to read it, and finally did after getting the cycle. I want to reread it and take notes. I like a lot more foods than I used to: vegetarian, steaks, seafood, Mexican, sushi,'southern'.( I was playing on the road; and the food at the Ramada Inn in Greenville, Mississippi was the best food I ever had); even tho it was off the same menu as all the other Ramada Inns. Although I've had some fantastic steaks grilled at home; for me, the ambiance of eating a good meal at the restaurant really makes the eating experience.
I would like to find the woman who would be my best friend, confidant, playmate, lover, with whom I share a unique compatibility and love that is comfortable during times of silence, hurdles in life, disappointments; as well as excitement, socializing, and adventure.
Early on,I learned to not try and be someone I'm not. And accept who I am; which is a somewhat unconventional individual blessed with some gifts and health.
I like classic (oldies) progressive rock, bluegrass, singer/songwriters, jazz, new age, and acoustic music. I play guitar; and am learning banjo, violin, and mandolin.
