I am a no nonsense kind of person. I don't like immature flirtatious banter, especially when I first meet someone. I have full and total custody of my 8 yr old daughter and 10 yr old son. If things worked out with my potential mate, I would like the kids to be included in our activites.
If I find a man who has full custody of his kids without a meddling ex-wife, I would welcome that. Otherwise, a man
without children who would be willing to step into the role as step-dad would be My children's own father decided to move on with his life with none of us in it.
I am looking for an intelligent (college educated man), even-tempered, refined, respectful, honorable, honest, CLEAN-CUT, happy-go-lucky, gainfully employed, physically healthy, mentally-stable man about my age, on the larger size both in height and weight. He should be financially secure now and for the future. I don't like dare-devils of any sort. A great guy for me would be a white collared-worker such as a compur tech, scientist, doctor, veterinan, social worker, teacher,
aristauthor, marketing executive.
I know myself well enough to know that I prefer a more serious guy, opposed to someone who makes sexual inuendoes.
I can mention what I do NOT like in a man, so not to waste your time.
I do not like:
Long hair on a man
avid sports enthusiasts (glued to the TV everytime there is a game on)
bad or missing teeth
cat-haters (If you don't like cats, or you are allergic to cats, or just are plain afraid of cats, please move on. The cats stay.)
much younger or much older.
strange or unusual habits (I could be here all day listing them)
I prefer American born men of a European decent (but I am flexible if he is a great guy.)
Southern/cowboy type men (since I originally come from NY, I'd prefer a New Englander).
I'd really want him to share my love for publishing books (mine, his, and our clients').
Other things I do like are:
I'd love to have a German Shepherd or pug dog one day, but we just adopted a young bassett hound mix and she is a dream
I can't live without a cat. (I mentioned that before, but it is worth re-mentioning)
I like alligators, but only at Gatorland or Alligator Farm in Jax
I like Chinese food and Itaflian food
My house is filled with fanftique furniture, so I love thrand antique stores
I'd like to travel and see the world before I get too old, but my priorities are publishing my books rit norefer plays to movies
I love the show, Shark Tank
I love antique cars, especially old Caddies
I feel it is necessary to have dinners together as a family, especially Sunday dinners
I consider myself more o
an indoorsy person rather than an outdoorsy person. Of course, the heat of Florida prevents me from being much of an outdoorsy person. I'd prefer to live in a less extreme hot climate.
. I don't do camping.
I am a night person. It is a genetic trait. I've tried my whole life to be a day person, but an owl isn't a lark. Ain't that a hoot. (That's a joke)
I don't spend lavish amounts of money on myself. Just enough to look nice but nothing extravagant.
I consider myself a nice person. I am right for someone. Whoever that is will appreciate the fact I come as a package. The kids are pretty good, if I don't say so myself.
