About Me
I've just graduated with a second BA in film from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. My first BA was in English, but what do you do with a BA in English? I love video editing, and I plan to work in postproduction as much as possible in the future.
I've done a great deal of traveling over the years. I've lived in numerous states as well as Europe, and I'm moving to the UK for grad school this fall to pursue an MA in film. I'm hoping to settle down there and finally have a place that I can call home.
I'm not a manly man. I'm just a simple guy who spends more time reading and watching films than anything else. I am what Christopher Moore would call a beta male. Having said that, I'm also open, honest, kind, quirky, and creative. Also, I love traveling to and exploring new places. I am not at all into clubs or dancing to loud music. I'd much prefer a quiet pub or going to hear a local musician/band or even staying in and watching films. I'm also saving up for my own film equipment so I can continue making short films.
A few of my poems have been published in my university's literary journal, and I recently defended my thesis film. It went well. Let me know if you'd like to see any of my short films! They are, without a doubt, the most spectacular things you'll ever behold!
I'm slightly eccentric, I have one tattoo, I despise hot weather, and I adore dogs.
While I'm really not religious at all, I do insist that any potential date have morals/ideals comparable to my own. In other words, I'm waiting until marriage to have sex and would like to find a girl who's doing likewise. That seems like something best stated at the outset to avoid possible awkward situations. I'm holding out for a fellow virgin, but, as you can imagine, virgins aren't as plentiful as blackberries. Note: This is an idealistic decision rather than a moral/religious conviction, but I feel strongly about it all the same. I'm most definitely looking forward to sex someday, though! =)
I really don't care where in the world I end up settling down after grad school. I don't really have roots anywhere.

First Date
Though cliche, I think going out for a coffee would be a good first date. Or maybe a couple pints. If it's obvious we're not compatible then we can simply empty our cups and part ways. If, on the other hand, we seem to click then we can make plans to get together again for a proper date.
