I'm originally from northern Indiana, but I've lived all over the country. I've spent the past 2.5 years in Fairbanks earning two bachelor's degrees (English and film). Over the years, I've done a lot of traveling both here and abroad. Exploring new places is one of my greatest passions!
I've had a few of my poems published in my university's literary journal, and I have some of my short films uploaded online. I have some great ideas for future film projects, and I can't wait to work on them!
I read a lot when I have time. I also watch a lot of films. In a nutshell, I live simply, I'm slightly eccentric, I love dogs, I hate sunny days, I adore traveling, and I have one tattoo.
I'm definitely not an alpha male. I'm not assertive, competitive, or aggressive. I'm a soft-spoken, easy-going guy that Christopher Moore would undoubtedly refer to as a beta male. I'm not at all into clubs or dancing to loud music. I'd much rather have a few drinks with friends or go hear a local musician play or stay in and watch a film.
While I'm really not religious at all, I do insist that any potential date have certain morals/ideals comparable to my own. In other words, I'm waiting until I've found the girl of my dreams before having sex, and I'd like to find a girl who's waiting as well. That seems like something best stated at the outset to avoid possible awkward situations. So, basically, I'm holding out for a fellow virgin; unfortunately, as you can imagine, virgins aren't as plentiful as blackberries. I'm not a prude, and I don't think any kind of sex is wrong or bad. I'm just idealistic.
Though cliche, I think going out for a coffee would be a good first date. Or maybe a couple pints. If it's obvious we're not compatible then we can simply empty our cups and part ways. If, on the other hand, we seem to click then we can make plans to get together again for a proper date.
