Hey there, thanks for stopping by my profile :)
(Please note: I'm not interested in anyone who sags their pants or can't hold a conversation.)
Here's the short version if you're in a hurry:
I'm intelligent (UC Davis alum!), passionate, active, kind, and ready to find someone to start a family with. I'm non-religious, a moderate liberal (pro gun and pro-choice), and D/s friendly. I'll listen to most music but generally like the popular pop stuff. I love dressing up in costumes for Halloween and Faire. Oh, and I'm the proud owner of a mutt that loves to get out of the house.
Okay on to the long version!
I really like the idea of finding someone I can connect with on multiple levels and realize that something of that nature could take awhile. I'd describe myself as someone with an open mind and varied interests, romantic and optimistic but grounded with realistic expectations, a bit nerdy, fun, and sarcastic as hell :)
My life is moving in a positive and forward direction and I'd like to find someone who has their life together and is currently working on accomplishing their goals. I'd also like to find someone I can be best friends with, staying up all night just talking (maybe about nothing, maybe about the meaning of life and the fabric of the universe lol).
I love to be surrounded by greenery, so hiking is a favorite activity. Add a lake or flowing water and that's pretty close to a perfect day. Getting out into nature (hiking and camping) should definitely be things that you enjoy to do because it's something I like to do with my partner.
I love to read and learn and am an avid fan of Supernatural. If you haven't seen the show Hannibal, you absolutely should! I'm okay with being labeled a nerd, especially since I enjoy both board and card games (I will destroy you in Monopoly and take all your money in poker lol). It's okay if these aren't on your list of fun, but I enjoy them.
Another thing I enjoy is going to Renaissance Faires. There are themes to some (like the Pirate Festival) and if it's something you'd be willing to try, I'd love to bring my partner along to check out all the other ladies with me.
Things I'm not looking for: If religion is important to you, I don't think we'd be a good match as that's not something I'd be able to engage in with you. Please be aware that I do want kids, if you don't then we wouldn't make a good match. I also won't date a smoker or anyone who does drugs.
(Bonus points if you have a cute dog or love animals in general!)
Something low pressure and easygoing works for me (coffee, drinks, etc). I'm open to something else if you'd like the first date to be more unique. I'd probably would rather save it for the second date but open to ideas.
P.S. I've really been in the mood to go horseback riding lately :)
