PoF is of the mind (and I'm in complete agreement) one needs to tell what makes them different. Well, I've done that in the LONG, detailed version in the past, so let's compact it down a bit.
First of all, let me tell you what I'm not. If stereotypes of machoism and testosterone are your thing, I urge you to pass me by. The confidence I have comes in many varieties. Mine is knowing my place in life. Of knowing inner contentment. A lot of this is fed by my longstanding connection with outdoors - nature. I have a large background in geology and local history. Being the proverbial 'big fish' in a small pond, both Massachusetts and Rhode Island have been a favorite playground of mine for many years. In recent years I've taken a fond affection for the ocean coasts, even taking up kayaking to help explore those areas.
However the greatest journey - can be the journey 'within'. If your an introspective individual looking for (what I've been described as) an 'esoteric dude', perhaps we might take that journey together. But definitely don't get the idea I look at everything in a heavy and serious way. My sense of humor can reach the realm of 'outrageous' at times. As Billy Joel put it so well: I go to extremes. To live Life to its fullest should be the goal, while staying grounded within some wonderful boundaries.
Intrigued? Let's hear...
Preference for the casual. Indoors/outdoors.
A meeting. A rendezvous. Perchance chance to dream? To see if we connect as people.
The purpose is to see if we wish to set the stage for a real date - or dating. What it's not, is a mandatory spark, or chemistry of a romantic nature. Should it happen - then I will consider myself blessed beyond all means. To have won a lottery of the highest nature! But if it is a requirement for you to have romantic inclinations on the first meeting, I would urge you to pass on by. But consider how one could ever know the possibilities without one note of love. Or one word of what lies within my heart whispered into your ear. Or even knowing the passion from that first kiss.
In final, I'd like to mention one of the greatest of all men I've known in my life. My Father. One of the best of all possible people you could ever meet. And guess what? He would never have impressed any woman the first time around. Shall we learn to like each other first?
