A little about myself,
I have been divorced for 5 years, my baggage has been checked.
I have had a very unique job for over 30 years, from which I can retire from at anytime. I am financially stable, have my own home, and my own car.
I have 2 grown and married Daughters, and 5 Grand kids, my family is very important to me, but they do have their own busy lives.
As for hobbies, I really don't have any one hobby, I do have many wide and varied interests which changes from time to time, I can enjoy doing just about anything with the right company.
Some of my interests include , swimming, bowling, golf, square dancing, road trips, travel, flea markets, walks, home improvements, landscaping, gardening, cooking, building and fixing things (I am quite handy to have around the house) .
I am young at heart, and stay active, I watch very little TV, I am no couch potato.
Oh, and yes I have a slightly warped sense of humor, I can and usually do find humor in about anything, even myself!
I don't do the bar scene, and I drink very little, but do enjoy an occasional glass of wine, or wine tastings.
Update... It's been a while, so I thought I should bring this up to date,
Divorced over 6 years now... I have lost my checked baggage.
Oldest daughter is now divorced, but doing well on her own, only busier now.
I have finally decided to take my "permanent vacation" in the spring (God willing...).
And after roaming the back roads, roads to nowhere, and mountain passes of Colorado for a few weeks last summer, and being introduced to "dispersed camping" or "boondocking", as it's known as... I just ordered a small off road camping trailer,... and started planning the #1 item on my Bucket List,... To drive to Alaska, and see the Aurora Borealis...
Updating the update...
Divorced over 7 years now.
I did take my "Permanent Vacation" back in April.
I have since made it to the Wisconsin once, the Ozarks once, 3 trips to Colorado, and 2 trips to Canada, and already have gone through a set of tires on my new trailer so far this year since January...
Life got in the way, and it's too late to try to get to Alaska yet this year, but I did make it far enough north into Canada to see and photograph the Aurora Borealis... I loved it and I am planning on returning ASAP! Alaska is still on my agenda, hopefully next year!
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Coffee, Tea, Lunch, Dinner, Ice cream and a walk in the park, someplace we can talk and get to know each other, that your comfortable with.
