I am the youngest of 3 kids. I have a brother and a sister, and 3 beautiful nieces who I love dearly. I'm loving life and would love to meet someone to share the good times with. I work very hard in my career and love what I do. In high school I started played golf after watching my brother play golf for Georgia Southern. I picked it up quite fast and while in college in Athens I began playing tournament golf on various mini tours. In 2007 I moved back home from Athens and but golf on the back burner to pursue a more rewarding career. I became an EMT in 2008 and a Firefighter in 2009. I love the job and it's hard in a lot of different aspects but the way I look at it, I've had the chance to see and do things that very few people get to experience; obviously some bad things which comes with the job but also some amazing things that I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. I recently left the department I was working at to move to a better department, but the transition process takes a while so in the meantime I'm working at a really nice country club as an Outside Operations Supervisor, basically supervising the cart staff and beverage cart staff and overseeing the organization and implementation of club tournaments and events. It's a decent job but it works out well because it gives me free playing privileges at a pro level course which gives me the opportunity to get back in to competitive golf. Just as a disclaimer though, because I know it's human nature to get pre-conceived misconceptions about people based on what they do, I am definitely not one of those snobby, flamboyant, and generally 'deuchey' country club types that act stuck up. I show up to the course, tee it high and let it fly, and that's it! I also love to fish but there's not a lot of good fishing around here if you don't have a boat.
As far as what I am looking for, I'm not overly picky. But I do have a couple standards. For example: not really into girls who are all 'done up'. There's a lot of girls who wear a lot of make up who are in fact really pretty but it's just weird I'm like afraid to touch your face or kiss you when there's a quarter inch of plaster on your face. Also, I gotta have maturity. I feel like the experiences I have had with the fire department have really matured me beyond my age; so I just have a hard time having a conversation with a girl who's biggest concern is when were going to the club. Which by the way....were not going to the club. But dont get me wrong, I am not against girls my age or a year or two younger as long as they are doing something with their life and are mature.
I love laughing. love it. Watching SNL every Saturday night has been a family tradition since the Chris Farley days. My favorite comedian right now is Louis CK. Totally inappropriate material but it's thoughts that EVERYONE thinks but refuses to admit. Something about someone sarcastically talking about how crappy their situation is cracks me up. I have a great sense of humor too and apply it in all situations including ones where you're maybe not supposed to.....but only to a certain extent.
I am not too particular about first dates as long as it's somewhere we are both comfortable where we can get to know each other and theres not too much loud music to scream over. Anything from lunch or dinner (my treat or going dutch whichever you're more comfortable with), going on a walk, going to the dog park (allowing my dog to approve of you), braves game, or maybe even going to the driving range for a free lesson? I'm game for anything!
