My idea of a great first date would be to steal a car and drive to Chicago. With the radio CRANKED. I do love a road trip, and that would give us lots of time for great conversation. Or companionable silence. You drive, I'll keep my eyes peeled for cops.
I've been to the usual places in Europe, but also have been to Namibia, Timbuktu and Mongolia, as well as Siberia. ( I spent three months traveling in Russia, speaking bad Russian.) The people were very friendly, except for the wait staff on the Siberian Express. I've also traveled across China and Southeast Asia, and Africa too a bunch of times. I like the remote. I like expensive hotels but I love to camp too.
I adore crime stories, and my fifth short story will be coming out in a crime anthology soon. Am also working on my 2nd novel (still trying to get the first sold.) Elmore Leonard is my idea of a perfect man. Perfectly interesting anyway.
