Not totally comfortable with online dating but I haven't encountered that "special person" in my day to day life. Truth is...I'm looking for fun and companionship, my best friend, a partner in crime and to ultimately fall in love...although not necessarily in that particular order! lol!
I'm a divorced dad with two amazing children that live with me part time. I haven't been jaded by divorce and I'm ready to meet someone special and explore whatever life has waiting for us. Live in the moment...but plan for the future. A good relationship is when reality isn't too different from fantasy. I'm a chef by trade, so I guess it should go without saying that I'm not a bad cook! That being said, I'm always ready and willing to learn something new in the kitchen. On the weekends I'm usually hiking/walking, wandering through a museum or in search of a "hole in the wall" restaurant with really good food. I love all genres of music but have been partial to indie rock in recent years (WFUV and thealternateside.org). I've been know to strum a few chords on the guitar from time to time! lol!
What have I learned from past relationships? Honesty is essential, perfection is impossible, acceptance is indispensable and a little chemistry goes a long way. Don't say or do anything you'll regret because you can't take it back...and flossing regularly is always a good idea!
I believe that most of us are longing for the same thing - to love and be loved for who we really are. So, if you think it's OK to laugh out loud in public places, concluded that love is important and worth waiting for, believe passionately in your dreams and are willing to hear some of mine and think that just about any movie involving Christopher Walken is worth watching...well, I'm sure we'll get along just fine! It's all good because each person we meet adds to who we become. The often mentioned "walk, quick bite or coffee" seems to work well. It's a good way of either hitting it off or going our separate ways without remorse.
