About Me
Well here's something you've never read before ... I'm a really nice guy, with a good sense of humor,who is looking for a great lady to love and be loved in return. A college professor, single parent (of a 14-yr old daughter), former musician who still plays a bunch of instruments (will play beautiful piano for you), and I'm also a published writer. It's probably just insecurity, but I'm not comfortable with this whole 'aging' thing. I'm actually now 66 and intended no deceit here, so apologies but just hoped you'd read the profile.
You know the worst part about this aging thing has to be the attitudes of people who read the honesty of profiles like mine and then make a "rush to judgement." They rely on tired old stereotypes to reject me ... without meeting me. Perhaps they're just lazy or they are not used to relying on their own mind in making decisions. I'm sure we've all seen people who are 48-50 and act like they're closer to 70! And there are those in their 60's (or older) who act more like they're 48-50. (I fall in this latter category!) I am in good shape physically, I do not take any major med's, and everything still works - including hydraulically ... if you get my drift. If you are so narrow minded that you discriminate and are 'not interested' in someone just because of their arbitrary age - a mere number - so be it ... but you really do HAVE TO meet someone before making that call. Otherwise you're going to miss out on people who are really good potential partners, who have a lot of experience, and even more to bring to your table! That is such a shame. And shame on you! It is unfortunately just one of the ways that the superficiality of online dating shows up. It's hurtful. And it really sucks! Pretty soon you'll be there too - how will you deal with it?
Want to meet a woman who is looking for the qualities I've mentioned above in the first paragraph. I am romantic guy and I'd like to meet a romantic female interested in a long-term relationship. Looking for someone to complete our journey with a loving partner by her side. She should still value the physical intimacy of a monogamous relationship as well. I hope she considers herself sexy and is looking for a man who will want to make love to her.
