I may not be Brad Pitt, but I definitely don’t qualify to be Brad “Spit” either (smile).
This online dating stuff doesn't have to be this hard, does it? I'm intelligent, honest, employed, creative. I'm the last of the "nice guys." I'm an editor, I do news for a living. I live for music -- I play guitar and write music. I have too many hobbies -- including quirky ones like ghost hunting (ever spent the night in the Lizzy Borden House in Massachusetts? I spent two!). I also love outdoor activities like fishing and camping.
I'm somewhat new to the area (2011), I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. But I've lived all over the country. This place is special to me, though, as it's where most of my family is.
I've had many adventures -- including spending a summer working in a fish cannery in Alaska in college. I plan to have many more adventures, too. I promise they won't involve such hard work lol.
Most importantly, I'm at a time in my life where I don't *need* to be with someone, but I want to. And my grandmother says I'm handsome!
The first date could be almost anything, as long as it's something that fosters discussion and communication between us. If we make it through the night struggling to find things to talk about, it's likely over. :-( But, on those golden occasions, we could find ourselves talking for an hour past paying the check. That's when you know it works. :-)
