As long as we're here, we have Target field and the Excel Energy Center for games and concerts, the Northrup and the Orphium for shows, Acme Comedy Club and Rick Bronson's House of Comedy (among others) for stand up comedy, a spring and summer filled with block parties and festivals, a big enough part of the 10,000 lakes right here in the cities for skiing, swimming, fishing, boating and the like...aside from the very long list of other outdoor activities, whether it's cold or hot, and I think loving to travel goes without saying.
Well, almost without saying. There's no sense in bringing stuff like this up when we're in Brazil for the Carnival of Rio de Janeiro, in Dublin for the St. Patricks Day celebration, in the U.K. for the Glastonbury music festival, in Pamplona, Spain to run with the bulls, in Venice for La Sensa, in Shanghai for the Chinese new year, or maybe just something stateside like the Tale of ****ails in New Orleans. I'm only going to be around for like another 50 or 60 years, so it's just about time to get going.
But, you have to go out for all this stuff...and sometimes staying home to read or play guitar is just what the doctor ordered.
