About Me
Well, here I go doing one of the hardest things in life writing about myself.
I would say that I am simply a "good" guy, and looking for that equally good woman. I have been widowed for a number of years now, and feel it's time to get back into the relationship world.
I know everyone puts in their profile that they like the beach and the islands, but let’s face it, that is really only the vacation times. Don't get me wrong... I love my occasional trips to Aruba and island beaches, but realistically we need to write down the "everyday" parts.
I can be alternatively shy and out-going, depending on my comfort level. I am a very positive person, always trying to find the best in every situation and people. I have a good job as a Design Engineer, which provides me with everything I need in life--except a "special someone" to share it with!
I enjoy going out to dinner and/or a movie, and spending time with family and friends. I am open to learning and doing new things that we both may enjoy. Not to say that we have to enjoy everything the other likes to do. We are both two different people with different enjoyments in life, and still share all the rest.
I would also enjoy some quiet time with that special woman, perhaps cooking together, and watching a good TV show or movie at home.
My friends always say that I am a very caring person, and that I am always concerned about others' needs and feelings. Yes, I do have a sense of humor, and that sometimes get me in trouble--in a good way, of course! LoL!
I am committed to showing a woman the respect and attention that she deserves, and hope that she can feel the same for me.
And I am looking to meeting a woman that can walk and stand BESIDE me -- not in front or behind me.
I currently have one fun hobby that I really enjoy with a great group of friends -- building and flying radio controlled airplanes. (I dare say that it helps keep me in touch with the "fascinated child" part of me. It's nice to "grow up" without "growing old"!)
I am not a "bar" person, but don’t mind the occasional drink when I go out to dinner, or maybe sitting home with someone.
My final thought is about what "chemistry" is. I think that when you talk and meet someone, there can (or should) be an inner bonding that comes through. It may take awhile to realize whether it is or isn’t there, but when it IS there, then the world is a much sweeter place! Wouldn't you agree?
