A little about me: I love science and art and I enjoy learning and teaching. While I appreciate nearly all arts, I especially love music. I listen to just about every genre ranging from Miles Davis and Mozart to Radiohead and Peter Gabriel. Not to mention Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, Thievery Corporation ,Massive Attack, Groove Armada, Smaak & Kraak.... Live music can be especially moving and I love venues ranging from the intensity of Detroit's Electronic Music Festival to a more intimate evening at Baker's Keyboard Lounge, the world's oldest jazz club.
Besides music, my hobbies include self-improvement (which is probably why I always seem to be in school!), staying in shape and traveling. I have been fortunate enough to have been educated in Sweden, the US and Canada and I really enjoy learning about new cultures. Perhaps my most endearing qualities are my open-mindedness and my curiosity. I would like to meet someone who shares and can appreciate these qualities.
My ideal woman is charming, introspective, intelligent and witty; maybe you will leave me tongue-tied twisted... and exhausted. You may not have won the Nobel Prize in Physics (but wow, would that be cool!), but I would like to meet someone who I can learn from and share experiences with. I value confidence, open-mindedness, integrity, honesty, sensuality, spontaneity...just to name a few qualities. Of course physical attraction and chemistry are also part of the mix. You do not have to be a model, but I take care of myself and I am attracted to those who do the same. I am not looking for perfection - just similar values. Smart and funny get me every time though!
Aside: I do not have any insecurities with taller women; living in Scandinavia will do that.
I never really thought that I would try and meet people online (sound familiar?), but from the profiles I have perused - there really are some great people out there (or perhaps, we are all a bunch of liars - he he). Besides, the Nobel Prize winners just don't seem to frequent the clubs that I am at.
I have also been told that I have a great sense of humour and since I am always right it must be true! ha ha Anyhow, I am pretty sure that I can make you laugh - and hopefully not at me! So if you're smiling now, then you owe it to yourself to write me! Let's keep the laughter going. Besides, regret is far worse than failure - so what are you waiting for? ;-)

Well, there are many great things to do for a first date. I think what makes a date great is the chemistry and the rest is really rather inconsequential. However, since online dating is rather unconventional, I would want to meet you in a place where you feel safe. Perhaps a popular martini bar or local cafe?
